I LIKED THE STAFF, I LIKED THE HOTEL AND PARKING AS A WHOLE. I DIDN'T LIKE THE FACT THAT ONLY ONE ELEVATOR WAS IN OPERATION DURING OUR WHOLE 5 DAY STAY. AND FOR 1 DAY WE HAD NO ROOM SERVICE. THE CONCIERGE SAID THE STAFF HAD A LOT OF ROOMS TO DO. I HAD TO GO FETCH OUR OWN TOWELS AND TRASH BAGS.

Only complaint was that it seemed like the ac unit was trying hard to keep up, we had to turn the temp down lower than we normally like for it to help with the humidity in the room. Once temp turned down it helped but we were little chilly at night. The front desk people we spoke with was polite and patient with us.

Nice place

Would recommend, especially if you're planning activities around the River Front/Old Market area. We booked a stay online for family of 5 staying several nights and kept needing to ask for the 1 small trash can to be emptied and for more towels because they kept leaving us only 4. One mattress was SUPER squeaky. Pretty minor complaints. One thing I'd make sure to mention is that you have to pay for parking. I missed that in the details when booking our stay.

Although the rooms do not have a microwave, I was misinformed by the front desk that one would be available. Additionally, the parking lot was full, forcing me to park in front of the hotel despite having paid $15 per night for parking. During my stay, a false alarm went off twice in the middle of the night, requiring me to take my kids outside. I believe the hotel needs to address these issues for the comfort of its guests.

We always stay at the Hampton when we do our annual family zoo trip and its always been great in the past. This experience was a little different. 1) check in is at 3pm. We arrived at 3:45 and she said our room wasn't cleaned yet. We waited 45 minutes until the room was cleaned which wasnt a big deal. 2) I reserved and paid for a double queen suite with pull out sofa. When we arrived to our room it was just a double queen. The front desk ladies were super nice and said someone before them gave my room away to someone else and they have nothing else. 3) only one out of the 2 elevators were working so alot of people had to constantly wait.

Smoke alarms went off at midnight for a long time making us go outside when apparently there was nothing to worry about. They then went off again at around 1am for a short time. My kids were scared and the night was not good after that. Pool was ok. Breakfast was good.

Bed’s were not comfortable. Key cards were not working to get in through the locked doors for front entrance. Fire alarms went off multiple times and no proper communication was had between staff and those who stayed at the hotel. I will not stay at this property again.
