Definitely a clean place for a motel. Good for short stay. They do have cooking facilities available which can be useful if you are planning to cook. However, overall there’s nothing in the area and most people staying there were there for the stargazing at lake Tekapo. Can get a bit noisy when all rooms are full. There was no one around in case we needed anything as the motel owners were on vacation when we stayed. Expensive for what you get.

This was a last minute booking but from the minute we drove into the motel we knew it was a winner. Beautiful tended gardens and pots, very quiet and so comfortable and obviously little personal touches like coloured matching bedding, quirky tiling in kitchen. Well thought out bathroom and kitchen. We loved everything about it

This motel is a good example of solid New Zealand accommodation - a classic lodge with good kitchen amenities, a comfortable room, and plenty of parking. The motel is set back from town, and while the car park is modest there are plenty of e-bikes to rent.
