Relax in comfort as you visit the area's newest boutique hotel in the lake town of Onekama!
The Dala House is a historic building originally built in the 1800's as Hotel Onekama. It was completely renovated in 2023, producing five beautiful boutique suites for the sophisticated traveler.
Each suite is equipped with on-demand hot water, water treatment system, top quality beds and linens. Expect Spa-level bath linens and soaps.
Off street parking is available for large boat trailers/RV's upon request. There is an private offsite location on Portage Lake that can be enjoyed by guests. The public park is also within walking distance, as well as restaurants and shopping.

Completely refurbished, the place is spotless, and quiet. Enjoyed our stay in this quiet little village on the shores of Lake Michigan will return again next summer.

Our unit was perfectly clean. The workmanship is top notch on all the finishes. Decor is super pretty down to the last detail. Every thing has been thought of here. Love the extra nice towels and bedding…and robes even! Didn’t use one , but nice it was provided.

Gorgeous and very comfortable

The details made this a wonderful stay—incredible linens, a great tea and coffee assortment, and really beautiful tile choices in kitchen and bath! The bed was so very comfortable. A very light and airy space, and we never heard the other units in the building. Wished we had more time to relax on the front patio as the furniture looked super comfortable. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Absolutely PERFECT

We were blown away by the gorgeous, impeccable accommodations at the Dala House! We already know and love Onekama, so were thrilled to discover such a great option for when the family cottage is beyond capacity. Stylishly decorated, a perfect kitchenette, a deck to relax on - it was a calm retreat after busy family time at the lake. We will be returning, and plan to gift some Dala House retreat time to our well deserving and busy adult kids! What a wonderful option for those of us who love this village.
