The hotel was right next to the golf course that we were playing at. The restaurant located next to the hotel {Captain's Quarters} was excellent The only problem I had was the sink did not drain too well. Acted like something was clogging the pipe.

Nice hotel

We stayed as we were driving through. Very nice hotel. I was concerned about the noisy groups of people hanging outside the hotel rooms but after a while they quieted down and the room is actually a bit sound proofed

What a Lovely Place!

Check-in was quick, and the Front Desk pointed out cookies and coffee, which are available in the Lobby 24/7. This is a motel, with doors into the rooms from the outside. Usually I book hotels, as I find motels noisy, but this was very quiet. The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. There is a traditional feel to the room and the entire motel. We found a nearby Thai restaurant (Thai House) for dinner, which we highly recommend. The next morning we walked through the outdoor pool area, which was one of the nicest I have ever seen. It appeared to have a lift for handicapped persons to access the pool; I have never seen that at a hotel before. The included breakfast was very good, and the attendant was on-site throughout, keeping things tidy, refilling food trays and assisting patrons. At checkout I asked about a receipt, and the Front Desk correctly stated that since I had paid through Hotels.com, that is from whom I would get the receipt. I certainly hope we return to Santee at some time in the future, and if so, we will hope to stay here!
