The name of the property was listed as the Inn at Orangeburg but the name had changed and I couldn't find the hotel. Then my credit card had both tthe room charge and $50 incidental charge. The room had one chair. The breakfast was 2 hours late and was very poor. Don't stay here!. And the back door was not secured. Overall very poor hotel and service

Unpleasant stay

In the first room, Toilet was blocked and overflowing. Phone didn’t work. We complained and got another room. In the new room, microwave is unhygienic (see pics), toilet is very bad looking (see pics). No shower gel, body lotion and bathtub plug was closing up frequently and blocking water all the time. First day, we had hot water but today morning, bath water was only lukewarm. As we had already complained on first room, we didn’t want to complain again as we were very tired with our trip. Breakfast wasn’t great either. Totally disappointed and actually surprised it is certified by Hilton. Never going to try SPARK again.

The overall property was nice. I’m sure once renovations are done it will be really nice. Construction wasn’t my issue, it was the cleanliness. Well, the lack the of. My first room was not clean, disgusting! My second room was clean but not clean as expected for this to be a hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. When checking in, the staff member was very rude and not welcoming. She place my key to my room and pointed to where I needed to go. All of my other check ins have been very welcoming and nice experience.

We have stayed at this hotel before, so that’s why we booked it. Very surprised to get there and the hotel is under construction! Was also told at check in that there will be no breakfast. I can’t believe we paid what we did for this hotel and got nothing that they said we would.

The Hotel is under contruction, the new look is very lovely, our room was brand new a very comfortably, there were no coffee or cups , ice available due to the construction, they were no pool,no dinning area, nothing was available to use, construction noise woke us up , the smell of paint and dust everywhere. But overall i will still give it 4 🌟 and it is a Hotel that i would recommend and come back, when the make over id complete.

Opened too soon

The motel was going through renovation and only rooms on the top 2 floors were rented out. There was dust everywhere however our room was clean and beds were comfortable. I think they should have waited until renovation was complete. Our room had no dresser or bedside table. No coffee pot. No Kleenex. Breakfast was a paper bag with a muffin, granola bar, small bottle and a fruit cup with no spoon. NO COFFEE! There was a Cracker Barrel right next door. They could have given the guests vouchers. The facility will be beautiful when finished.

This property is under renovations, and I was not made aware prior to booking the room. We were given a room that was not cleaned. The 2nd room on a different floor, was not ready. On the 3rd attempt the receptionist brought up a master key to try 3 rooms, finally found a room ready and available. No ice machine, no glasses or coffee maker. No hot breakfast as advertised. We were given a brown bag breakfast; small bottle of water, muffin in a bag, and fruit cup. Very disappointed.
