Here’s a polished review you can use: ⸻ I recently stayed at the True Hotel in Orangeburg, South Carolina while in town for a funeral, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. During such a difficult time, the staff made all the difference. The hotel was extremely clean, well-kept, and had such a warm atmosphere that truly reflected the genuine Southern hospitality of Orangeburg. One staff member who stood out to me the most was Ms. Georgian. With a heavy heart, I came down for breakfast one morning, and she immediately made me feel like family. She went out of her way to comfort me and made sure I had everything I needed. That kind of kindness and care is something you can’t put a price on. The front desk receptionists were also wonderful—very informative, helpful, and welcoming. And let me just say, the complimentary breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at any hotel—better than some breakfasts I’ve actually paid for elsewhere! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. From start to finish, every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and never like we were in the way. Because of them, my stay felt less like a hotel visit and more like being among family. If I ever find myself back in Orangeburg, this will be the only hotel I stay at. Five stars all the way!

Disappointed Visit

Did not say there was no pool whereas all the other hotels beside it had pools. Room was small, had no ice bucket or microwave in room. A small microwave was available by the elevator for the whole floor. The first woman I encountered at check in was very unfriendly. The lady at check out was nice. Only stayed one night and moved to a different hotel. The only good thing was the continental breakfast. We enjoyed that. Will never stay at a Tru by Hilton again.

The large room size. The many rods/posts to hang towels, bags, clothes Comfortable bed/pillow Spacious entrance & lounge area - with table games, Pool table available Good breakfast with many places to choose to sit & enjoy Very helpful front desk young lady The only problem I had was - not able to squeeze the soap out of the dispenser with one hand.

Great hotel. Clean and comfortable room. Very spacious. Staff was very friendly. Free breakfast. Ample free parking. The coffee was great and available all night. There’s a pool table and gym and water station which was very convenient. Price was great and location convenient. Only issue was the room was a little warm and the pillows were pretty basic. Not a ton of storage if you plan to stay a while either. Otherwise an OUTSTANDING stay. Definitely recommend.
