Murder across the street, no garbage disposal and no working dishwasher! No hot water upon arrival!
We called the owner over 15 times without any response. He didn’t respond to any texts either. He finally did respond once we contacted VRBO for check-in procedures…First impression the house was beautiful then we realized that there was no hot water at all, but the owner sent someone to fix the next day. That was the only response or help he gave us during our stay! There was a murder across the street!!! Having over a dozen police cars, CSI vans and police mobile commandment centers right outside are not very fun! Having to reassure your children that they are safe during your holidays while in your vacation rental is not great feeling! We specifically chose a gated community for safety reasons and the front gate still let way too many people in at the same address…owner never responded to our concerns regarding this. The walls are covered in dirty scuff marks and very dusty bannisters. The BBQ was so disgusting with a ton of grease and leftover meats on the propane tank! The previous renters broke the garbage bin disposal and the dishwasher didn’t work, when we advised the owner he said someone would come asap the next day, we wasted a whole vacation day and nobody showed up. So we had to « live » with our garbage bags in the kitchen the whole week! No follow-up on the owners part what so ever! Would never book there again!
