Blue Heron Resort

The Blue Heron Resort was an awesome place to stay. Good location. The condo we rented was on the 14th floor and had a wonderful view from the balcony. The furnishings left a little to be desired. The listing said it would sleep 6 but the fold out futon was small and only was big enough for 1 person. There was only the futon and 1 chair to sit on so there was not seating for 6 people. We looked at other units while we were there and found them to offer more amenities and furnishings. In my opinion this unit needs more furnishings and a better sleeper sofa for its guests. We ended up purchasing an air mattress ( which we left for the next people) to be able to have room for 6 people to sleep. There was not very many cleaning products when we arrived so we bought some supplies and left them when we left. We also bought some extra towels and wash cloths as there was only 6 of each in the condo. All in all we enjoyed our stay. We just feel the owners should up the quality of furnishings. Our host Malcolm was excellent! He communicated very well and answered any questions we had. Malcolm worked with us to get us a late check out on the day we left which was helpful because we had a late flight. If the furnishings in this unit were upgraded we would be very interested in renting it again next year. Our overall stay was great, Malcolm did a wonderful job and we enjoyed it.

Long weekend getaway!

Our flight arrived early and the host was wonderful about getting us in, that was so appreciated! The condo was beautiful. We liked the comfy couch, as well as the king sized bed. The view from the balcony overlooking the lake was nice and relaxing. We enjoyed sitting out there in the mornings and evenings. The pools were very nice, and we definitely made use of the hot tub. We grilled out two nights. Tiki bar at the pool was wonderful! They stayed open from morning until late evening, which was nice. We felt close to everything, Disney Springs, Epcot etc. Our only suggestions would be to have nicer, more comfortable patio furniture. And also, the kitchen definitely could be better appointed with better pots, pans, bowls, utensils, dish rags and dish towels etc We look forward to returning.

Great, local stay

This property was a great option for us with keeping everything close to the parks. Kids loved the pool, the view was very welcoming and the condo was easy to get in and out of. The host was very quick to respond as needed, property is in good shape with plenty of room for a family of 4. Thank you!

Great Stay at Blue Heron

We’ve stayed several times at Blue Heron and it never disappoints. This unit was just as good as any other unit we’ve stayed in and would definitely check the listing again when traveling back to the area. Thank you to the host for allowing us to enjoy your little slice of paradise.

Just like the pictures show

This was a perfect choice for us. The pictures in the listing are accurate. The place was spacious, my kids loved the pool, I loved having a washing machine and dryer so we were able to wash our clothes during the trip. The location is perfect, around ten to fifteen minutes to any of the Disney parks.

Relaxing and convenient to everything

We wanted a 1 month respite from winter and found this condo to be exactly what we needed. Convenient parking, close to shopping attractions, private. View of Bryan Lake a big plus. A spacious and private balcony another plus. Thank you, Malcolm.

Great location and value

Our host was responsive and resolved an initial issue promptly. The unit was clean and had all that we needed for our extended stay. The bedroom mattress was new and comfortable. The location is perfect for families wanting to do the theme parks (this is a tourist area so expect heavy traffic). The Property: Parking was abundant and covered. The game room isn't much to speak of but the workout room, though small, has enough to get by. The large pool had a Tiki bar open some of the time. We mostly had the pool to ourselves. We enjoyed watching the fish from the dock. It appeared that the kiddy pool could use resurfacing. At least one of the elevators was over a year out of inspection. The unit itself could be updated but the location and value are excellent. We enjoyed watching stunning sunrises from the balcony each morning. We will stay there again.

Nice property with great pool

We enjoyed our last minute trip to Orlando and were very pleased with this property. It was very close to all the attractions, restaurants and shopping. The kids loved the giant pool and the great view. The condo had everything we needed and the setup worked well. My older daughter found the top bunk uncomfortable as it’s just on wood slats, but was able to use the pull out couch as an alternative. Otherwise everything was perfect. Thanks for a great stay!

Spring Break

Came to Orlando for a spring break getaway with my daughter. The condo was just as described. Met my expectations: very clean, comfortable bed and furniture, well appointed kitchen, nice balcony and views, great pool with music and Tiki bar, easy access and parking, and close to so many places! My only suggestion would be to update the bathroom doorknobs, as they were difficult to latch when closed. I would stay here again! Thank you to the host for answering all my questions in advance in a timely manner!

Weekend Getaway

Wonderful location within minutes of Disney Springs, retail, grocery, and restaurants. The owner responds quickly to inquiries. Spacious for a couple or small family. Open floor plan with kitchen essentials and two full bathrooms. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony each morning. My husband was able to fish every day using a short nature walk path to the dock. Shipping his gear to the front desk was easy. We loved every minute and the owner’s description is accurate.

Advertisement said it is in the 15th floor, so obviously we were given a different unit, which was 1405 The most outdated unit I have ever rented on VRBO, with exception to stove, microwave, coffee maker and fridge. Bathroom doors do not close, paint chipping and walls are filthy, screen door for the balcony is laying on the balcony floor, shower in the master bedroom as if it does not exist, poor pressure and filthy. Now to the building itself, only issue is one elevator working at a time, so you could wait 10 mins By far the worst experience in a VRBO property and worst unit we ever rented. We rented in this building about 4 times before and unfortunately this was not the same as what we experienced before.
