Dog Friendly

Dogs are welcome with a non-refundable pet fee of $150 plus tax per dog, per reservation. Maximum of two dogs. Black Mold

We have stayed in Paradise Palms now 4 times and every time we have enjoyed our stay. The convenience, location and comfort of the properties have been o some of our main attractions for us. Our stay started out wonderfully. There were some minor items that needed attention and the property management company was prompt in their attention to the issues. They were also very polite and friendly. Then on Thursday 3/20 there was a thunderstorm and the upstairs master bedroom closet became a waterfall drenching several bags of tee shirts and other souvenirs along with a suitcase full of clothes. The management was prompt responding to the issue but could not resolve anything. There were many missing roof tiles, about 5-6 rows that we saw upon further examination. The people responding to the issue said this was an ongoing problem for the last 5 months. As we investigated, we found black mold in the closet that had painted over. Then we saw water stains in the downstairs master that had stained several tote bags there as well. Several members of group had been complaining about sinus headaches and congestion. We thought it was us just adjusting to the climate but as soon as we went outside our symptoms went away. We all were disappointed that, that property was rented in that condition and the losses we suffered because of the condition of the property.

The house was “spot mopped”. Meaning it was NOT cleaned entirely upon our arrival. This was my 5th time staying at this resort and we have always loved it. This was my 3rd booking a Scandi resort property at Paradise Palms. If I stay here again, I will be sure it won’t be though Scandi. The property we was at, was not accessible through their main entrance. Security at check in couldn’t even tell us this. We had to leave main area and access our rental through a completely different entrance. First inconvenience of the trip. We get in, get settled, only to instantly began feeling under the weather. There was SO much dust that I had to wipe down almost every surface. That was the 2nd inconvenience. Here is the third. Then before going to bed, my 8 year old finds broken GLASS in the room she was going to sleep in. I’m talking shards in carpet and a piece that was at least 4 inches long and yes I have a picture. Instantly let management know and they “apologized”. Had my child stepped on it, would have been an ER visit and an end to a very expensive Disney trip. Fourth, there was visible water damage in the downstairs bathroom which was next to the bedroom my sister stayed in. I think it made her ill with allergy symptoms which definitely made for a grumpy personality the entire trip. I hardly every leave negative reviews but management dropped the ball on this one when I reached out to them about the glass.
The glass she found in the bedroom! Looks like the broke light fixture and didn’t make sure all was cleaned up.
