I’ve stayed at many timeshare resorts as a guest before, but I’ve never experienced such a disappointing situation as I did with Westgate. First, they charge $25/person PER DAY for guests to access their mediocre water park. They try to get you to do a timeshare presentation and hooked me with the offer of half price water park tickets (that we didn’t know was mediocre at that point), plus a $100 Visa card. They PROMISE you that the presentation is “90 minutes max” and includes a breakfast buffet. The lady that convinced me to go told me that because I had an 11am slot that there would also be lunch offerings, which was false. It’s only after you show up that they tell you the 90 minutes doesn’t start until you’re done eating breakfast (as if you can’t talk to me while I’m eating). But they had me stuck there for almost 2.5 hours! Way longer than the 90 minutes I was PROMISED. They claimed they “accidentally” flagged me as an honorary member so they gave me a “once in a lifetime offer” & seemed PISSED when I still said no. Also, this property is HUGE but when I asked about getting a ride to various places around the resort I was told “well you could call and see if they can give you a ride but we don’t really do that anymore”. I’ve stayed at other resorts who have well established systems (van shuttles that can be easily requested) for bringing people around the resort. Overall disappointing stay. I don’t plan to return.

The check-in was a little hectic as they had it at "The Pavillion" since they were renovating the original front check-in area. The staff was friendly. The waterpark is NOT included in your stay, it is a separate paid-for amenity that is $25 We were in one of the buildings towards their receiving area so we did hear a lot of "backing up" sounds from the big trucks throughout the night. Our hot tub/jacuzzi in the room did not work. And the rooms are outdated. There are no built-in USB plugs anywhere and it would've been nicer if the window coverings in the bedroom were blackout curtains.

Amazing stay , there is a lot of activities to do atbthe resort . The room at the Villa was renovated and looked better than in the pictures . Customer service was excellent and acomodating . Overall best hotel we’ve stayed in orlando and close to the parks .

Check in was pretty prompt. Upon arriving to my room for my 6 day stay I noticed I didn’t have a room with a balcony which would’ve been nice. Also, there was a bag of dirty lining sitting outside my doorway. That night I cooked for the kids and noticed I didn’t have a broom to sweep the floors and called to have it delivered. The broom came at 11pm. The following morning I noticed that the person who brought the broom, didn’t remove the bag with the dirty lining that was sitting outside the door. So I called and asked for this to be removed. I also had to call to request a frying pan as there was only pots in the cabinets. The ironing board got stuck in the up position and I couldn’t get it to fold back down. The refrigerator is set on 9 and you can’t change it. Bc of this my lettuce and fruit froze. The water park is $25 per person which I think is not fair especially when spending over $1000 for your stay. That’s all the bad things, other than that I love all the activities they have available from golf, swimming, cycling, wax ice skating and movies. Bingo and trivia was really fun as well as Karoake. The wax rink is way too slippery and they should add regular skating rink. The water park fee is ridiculous the pool is small but the 2 waterslides and lazy river was okay. I’ve stayed at universal and this was included there
