Owner not available at check in. Very grubby, sunbeds filthy, cooker not working and weak to replace with one in filthy condition, blinds falling off. Toaster poor and coffee percolator cracked. Hot tap unusable. Unable to secure villa-locks broken. Kitchen socket loose, only one in bedroom. No seating available on balcony for morning coffee. First time in 12plus years we have had to complain

Perfect

The visit was great, the villa was ideally located near the town centre but is still private. Host was very supportive for all our needs. Unfortunately the oven was not working while we were there but other than that everything was good.

Villa in Dalyan

The villa was clean & tidy but in need of some updating. The pictures make it look a lot nicer. It was very under equipped ( 5 knives, 5 mugs, no cups & saucers, no salad bowls etc. Wabbly unusable tables in the lounge. No shower side panel when we arrived & nothing was mentioned. The toaster was broken. We did report the issues to the property manager & some things where sorted. I have stayed in lots of villas but never in one so under equipped, it is supposed to be for 7 people & there were 4 of us and we had to make do, which really isn't good enough when you are on holiday.

Room for Improvement

So, the good stuff..lovely large pool, great air con (when the batteries worked) comfy bed, generally clean, nice residential area and a short walk into town. The not so good stuff...very, very basic amenities: For a villa for seven, only 3 wine glasses, no eating knives, 5 old mugs, chipped crockery and generally all kitchen items a bit of a mis-match and not clean at all. No cleaning equipment/dish cloth/tea towels etc. No instructions for anything. Toaster doesn't work but there is a sandwich maker that does the job. There is an empty water cooler but it's not the villa owner's responsibility to keep it filled. We arrived at 1 in the morning and were obviously not expecting a welcome pack but a bottle of water in the fridge would have been a welcome touch at that time of night. Luckily, we know Dalyan well so trekked off into town for water. (The agent did bring us some water when we asked but it was from the tap and a health condition means my husband has to be careful of that) Of the 6 sun loungers, 4 were broken. However, we did tell the agent on day 2, so I'm sure that will be rectified. There is a big language barrier that my rudimentary Turkish and their basic English struggled to breach: very frustrating when I rang from Dalaman arrivals to sort out a key and even more frustrating when our paperwork said we did not have to check out until midnight to then be told in the middle of the holiday, that it was actually 10 in the morning. The agent arrived 10 minutes early and stood over us, so we were rushed to leave. We were allowed to leave our bags at the agent's house and then her brother took us to the airport (at a charge of 400tl rather than the 250tl that we paid the taxi on our arrival) We than had 8 hours to kill before we were expected in airport departures - so, we paid for 10 days in Villa Atlantis but only had 9. In short, the property is very tired but Dalyan is lovely and the people wonderful. If you get chance, charter The Sea Pearl boat from Sahil Restaurant, for the day. BBQ, beach, snorkelling etc for £250 and can easily accommodate 10 people. Also, there was a big mosquito problem towards the end of our stay due to a fire in the mountains disturbing the nests so take some plug ins for the villa - all the pharmacies have the relevant creams. I always hate to give negative feedback but think it's useful for the next incumbents to be aware, especially if you arrive late and don't know the area.

The owner is very nice and his property well maintained but has some problem with a septic which he fixed.

Lovely villa

Would highly recommend staying in this villa. It is in a great location, well equipped and very comfortable. The check in was easy and the owners very friendly and helpful. Everything about it was perfect. Thank you for a great stay.

Lovely villa in a quiet location

We enjoyed staying at Villa Hayri. The pool was a good size and very clean. We could have done with some more English type things in the villa eg Coffee/Tea mugs, egg cups, can opener, bread knife, and a toaster that worked. The toilet in one of the upstairs bedrooms leaked consistently so my friend had to use towels to soak up the water. And we would have appreciated a maid service just once in our stay to change sheets and towels. However apart from that we loved the villa, it was in a peaceful location, about a ten minute walk to town.
