Convenient location. Lots of food and small shops nearby. Hotel is very clean and tidy. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We booked a family room and it is spacious enough to have all 6 of our suitcases opened at the same time with plenty of room left.There are also massage chairs and a eating/chatting area with a pool table in the lobby. Will definitely book this hotel if we stay in this area again.

Amazing stay at Hotel 88 Shinsaibashi in Osaka. The service is excellent, with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are super comfortable and clean, perfect for relaxing after a long day. They even offer a ride to the station, which is a great bonus. Highly recommended!

This is a great hotel, it’s located right next to a subway exit- you just have to make sure you use the correct one on Google Maps or you’ll be taking the long route across multiple busy streets to get to the hotel. It’s located right next to a highway bridge. Area outside the hotel isn’t great, but the hotel itself is.

This is the most fun hotel I've ever stayed in. Osaka, in the heart of Shinsaibashi, the staff gave us a free late check-out and ride to the station with our luggage, the room was comfortable and spacious, but the decor and vibe of the hotel just can't be replicated. Amazing!

Great location near walking distance of Dotonbori and the train station. Rooms are bigger than average. A cool plus was they had Dyson air wraps you could borrow from the front desk! The staff were so nice and friendly. When we were checking out we told them we were taking the Shinkansen and one of the staff members took our full size luggage and led us down the block and through the train station so we wouldn’t have to carry our luggage down the stairs, all the way to the gate! We were amazed by his hospitality and how he went above and beyond for us!

Location is great, walking distance to most tourist spots in Osaka. Very clean and our room is so spacious. And the staff, are the best, second to none, helpful and friendly. Possibly the best service at any hotel I've ever stayed at! Can't praise the staff enough, an insane service level from start to finish. They checked us in 4 hours early free of charge, carried our luggage to the room, they had a free drinks bar in the lobby, gave us a complimentary drink upon arrival and when we just checked out a staff member, without us doing anything, asking for it or even having the chance to say no, helped us carry the luggage to the station and down to the platform we had to take the train from, which was like 10 minutes away from the hotel. On top of that the rooms are massive by Japanese standards (and still large compared to most European and American hotels in the same price range), great amenities, and it's located a few hundred meters, not just from the hustle and bustle of Dotonbori, but also from a major train station that can take you to most tourist sites in the city, but also as a good launching point for daytrips out of the city to Nara, Kobe or even the Shinkansen to Hiroshima. Just a fantastic hotel all around. Can't recommend it enough.

We stayed at six hotels during our 2 week stay in Japan, and Hotel 88 was the best. One of the managers is American, and he was incredibly helpful and kind. In fact, every employee at every hotel was polite and friendly. But since I know little Japanese and have trouble with accents, it was great to have a native speaker. The room was great. Two king sized beds—one in its own bedroom. All other hotels crammed 4 twin beds in one room. Also the beds had outlets on each side. We had an issue finding outlets at the head of the bed at the other hotels. The room had a real Keurig-type coffeemaker. The hotel is walking distance to Dotonbori and its Time Square-like atmosphere. And as is true with all hotels we stayed in — it has a Lawson’s a couple blocks away.
