Our stay was decent, though the amenities were a little outdated aka no wifi in our room. The room size was big compared to a lot of Japanese styled hotels. Front desk was nice and helpful. The location was right next to the Kuromon market which was convenient.

The room is big and comfortable, the location is AMAZING! The hotel is very old...carpets have stains, the lobby and hallway are not so nice but for the price and location I would stay there again

This is my 3rd time stay in this hotel. All 3 times all booked from Hotel.com and all stayed in the Annex building,not the main building.In the Annex building, Wifi only available at the smoking area(lobby)and rooms on the main floor. I chose this hotel because of its location. it is close to Namba Station,Nipponbashi Station and a short walk away from Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi shopping arcade.

Great Value

Hotel is situated in a great location, close to Namba station, Namba shopping street, Kuromon Market. Hotel looks dated from the outside with a narrow elevator. However, room size is big and bathroom was enormous for Japanese standard. Was given a smoking room but was surprised that there was no smoke smell. Great value for a 3 bedded room. This hotel is usually fully booked so recommended that you book early. Receptionist speaks poor English but manageable overall. Note that there is no wifi in rooms except for lobby area.

Good location, large room, but smelly

Our room was massively large - a rarity in Japan. It's in a good location - close to everything without being in the middle of it. The only negative was that the hotel allows smoking everywhere - in the rooms and lobby. As non-smokers the smell was pretty bad. I asked the staff for air freshener for our room which they eagerly gave us.
