Royal Park Canvas Hotel has a great location. The subway entrance is right beside the building, there is a Starbucks across the street, and a tiny cafe downstairs with fewer than a dozen seats that serves above average food. There is also a Mos Burger very close by, and that burger is an easy 8 out of 10. Service is mixed. Most staff were fine, but a manager at the restaurant/bar area came across as rude and unhelpful. Late checkout is tight. They quoted 1,000 yen for an extra hour, so plan your timing. Rooms are quiet and clean but the mattresses are very firm. If you like a soft bed, this will not be for you. Be aware that two twins pushed together are presented as an upgrade to a larger bed, which is not the same as a true large mattress. Food on site is below average compared to nearby options. You will eat better outside the hotel. One useful tip if you have a lot of luggage: booking an Uber to the Shinkansen station ran about 2000 yen and felt worth it for the convenience from the hotel.

Overall great service - Helpful friendly staff, room was regularly cleaned and made during our stay with fresh pyjamas provided daily! Good location, laundry available, facemasks were included as part of the amenities at reception which I thought was nice extra touch, room is somewhat spacious, hotel is close to the train station and convenient store (literally next door). We enjoyed our stay.

This is a great place to stay. Well located, close to transport (subway entrance right next door - as well as a bakery - yes). Good staff, great breakfast options, clean and really, nothing bad to say about it at all. Recommend.

Overall our stay in this hotel was good however, parts of the room could do with some maintenance as there were some rather severe scratches on bits of furniture and bits of the wall from people's cases etc which could easily be remedied with a bit of paint etc. They do also have DJ sets on (noise was not an issue) but it seems you need to pay to go to the event even if you are staying in the hotel which seemed a bit strange.

Probably one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Stayed with my wife and 3 year old. We shared 2 'double beds' pushed together (2x king singles). Rooms were small, but they weren't surprisingly small. They were modern, functional and very clean. Two highlights were the blackout blinds (so good that we missed quite a few mornings) and the shower! Damn, that was amazing. I've never had such a powerful and large shower before where no water got on the floor outside! The hotel is on top of a well connected train station and a 24 hour convenience store. It has a small gym which is functional but too tiny, there are some restaurants and bars around, but it's relatively quiet at night. We never had the breakfast there because there was the Familymart downstairs (and a 7/11 and Lawson's very close by). I would definitely recommend this to friends as a great place to stay. I will say though, if we had another child (i.e. 2x adults and 2x kids) it would be way too small.
