The hotel was old and the smell wasn’t great. There was also a lot of noise in the evening. Avoid if you can. Apparently there’s a casino nearby with similar prices and great rooms. Wish I’d known.

The first night I stayed we found multiple bugs in the shower area as well as mildew on the curtain and several bits of hair in the bedding. The room also had a musty smell. It was obvious that the room was not cleaned properly prior to my stay. I spoke to the manager the next day and was upgraded for the second night to a much cleaner room who's only issue was that the previous guests had been smoking in it. The staff were kind and took my concerns seriously however I would inspect the room right away if I were staying here in future

Room smelled like smoke, ( no smoking room) floors looked dirty, musty, not very well kept up. Outside under chair was empty pack of cigarettes..... I did place a complaint. But didnt recieve anything for it and no offer of a new room.. Will not stay here again!!!

People are living in this hotel and leaving their belongings outside the property & in the hallways. Looks unprofessional. Overall cleanliness was alright could have been better. Staff were friendly.

Great Service and Welcoming Atmosphere I recently stayed at Hotel Inn in Pickering, Ontario, and had a very pleasant experience. The standout feature of this hotel is definitely the service—every staff member I encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about guest comfort. There was always someone around to assist, and the team really keeps the place clean and well-maintained. The lobby is cozy and thoughtfully stocked with both dry and cold snacks, refreshing cold water, and a coffee machine that serves great hot and cold drinks—including hot water for tea. It’s a small touch, but it really adds to the overall comfort. There’s also a small gym and other amenities that make the stay convenient. Check-in and check-out were both quick and smooth. Honestly, I’d say this is one of the best hotel staff teams I’ve seen in Canada—efficient, kind, and always on the move keeping things in order. If I had to suggest improvements, I’d say the breakfast could be better, and the rooms could benefit from some odor control. A few bathroom upgrades in the future wouldn’t hurt either. But overall, this is a humble, welcoming hotel that does the basics extremely well. Would definitely stay again!

Ok but not great. Over priced but friendly staff.

The bed was comfy but extra charge for pullout is NOT worth it. Uncomfortable is putting it mildly! Carpet was clean but feels gross and there was a wet spot by the door. It was quiet. Breakfast was ok not great. Cost was very high for 2nd night not booked thru hotels.com. wedding guest group booking was 210 Sat night but 150 for Friday night on hotels.com! Why do motels not realize a quick wood/ceramic floor would help everyone! And make the high price seem more reasonable. Motel felt safe, staff helpful, great parking with some rooms having patio doors which can be opened to bring in your luggage but you must go inside to access room, then open slider. Tub had shampoo and conditioner bottles on wall. Watch your head, I hit mine standing up after washing feet. Hurt a little! Blowdryer in bathroom. Bedroom was short on electrical outlets. One nightstand with 2 plugs on lamp. Fridge was cold on arrival, microwave worked well. TV was large new flat-screen sitting on nice dresser. A big clothes cabinet which hung dresses easily as well as a nice desk and chair. Overall it wasn't great but I have had much worse. With so many wedding venues near-by and close to Toronto I expected a bit nicer. $70-$80/night would be more reasonable. Even $100 but over $200 I wouldn't do again. Same for my family in 2 more rooms.
