Excellent hotel with high-end accommodations. Very comfortable as the hotel has AC (unlike most of the hotels we stayed in in Norway.) The hotel is right on Karl Johan Gate, the main street and a pedestrian-only section of town with many stores and restaurants. Bus/tram stops are a 5 -10 min walk away and you can get to any part of town from here. Breakfast selection and quality of food was amazing!

Our stay at the Karl Johan Hotel was truly exceptional! The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Oslo, but what made our visit unforgettable was the incredible staff. Well-located, a friendly staff, great breakfast

This was my third time staying at this hotel. It is centrally located in a heavily trafficked tourist area, so once you tire of the crowds, you’ll want to explore other interesting areas of the city, many of which are within walking distance of the hotel. My only complaint is that there was no way to control the AC in the room (they were having a heat wave) and I was freezing until I asked and received a small portable heater.
