Great stay in Croton on Hudson

Amazing stay at this well run newly minted Hotel - it's got great space to wander on the grounds, I would like to come again. The staff was super helpful and made our stay even more special.

This is the former GE executive training center, now having a soft launch into a real hotel. They have been open 3 months and still working out kinks. Minimal food and drinks on site for regular traveler. Easy to get good food from nearby towns. Likely better if with a group for wedding or conference. Outdated but barely used furnishings and decorating make it a fun blast from the past. HUGE fitness center. Perfect brick walkways all over and 1.7 mile walking/ running path. Nice nooks and crannies everywhere to sit, snack and visit with people. Lovely fire pit area, and pooltables, foosball, and table tennis.

Check in process was quick & easy and staff was very friendly and informative. Lobby was very inviting. We stayed on the 4th floor. Views out the window were awesome! There was even a telescope at the large window so you could see out to the river and look at the fall foliage. Our room was very clean and was as expected. I didn’t feel it was outdated, as other reviews suggested. The grounds are beautiful. Hotel is nice and secluded but a short drive to many local events.

This property is very unique and beautiful and it has so much potential to be an incredible property. Be prepared for the bar only having a very limited menu and that is the only dining option on site after breakfast. Breakfast is offered in the main lobby area and there is also a cute coffee shop on the property. Also, there aren’t ice machines, glasses, etc so bring your own water. Rooms are clean with great storage and views, particularly during foliage season. There are huge game rooms available with pool tables, table tennis, foozeball, etc. tons of space to play and socialize. There are gorgeous propane fires outdoors and outdoor tables and benches. The property is right by the parkway so it is very convenient. We will definitely be back!

We were swindled!

It looks nice, the building looks great from the outside, and the grounds are gorgeous. But no coffee maker, no fridge, no microwave, and the smallest tv that looked like a computer monitor hooked up to a cable box is all the room has to offer. Not to mention the parking lot is about a 5 minute hike uphill to the lobby. If they are hosting an event, good luck finding a spot. With the cost of staying here, we felt a bit bamboozled

The main areas of the hotel were updated and very nice. The bar area and outdoor fire pits were also very nice. The check-in staff were nice, but not overly welcoming or personable. The hotel rooms were very dated. My room appeared clean but we found 8-10 strands of someone else hair that was dried on the shower walls. Regarding the shower, the water was nice and hot, but the water pressure wasn't very strong. Also the body wash and conditioner dispensers in the shower were empty. The bar area is very nice, well maintained and nice staff. They serve some appetizers. The last and weirdest thing was at 8am the cleaning lady walked down our hallway, knocking on every person‘s door asking if we wanted our room to be serviced. she literally woke us up. What’s even weirder is that we were checking out that day.

Everything was great. The only problem is that food options at the facility are pretty limited and you have to order uber eats. The room was pretty convenient and I had a great view, but the heater was pretty loud. I had to turn it off at night, because of annoying noise. The rest was great! Thank you!

Overall I think they have a good thing here, they just need competent people to steer it in the right direction. Pros: -The grounds are beautiful and well kept -Rooms and common areas were clean/spacious -Quiet location, but still close to attractions Cons: -Staff is uninformed and ill prepared to deal with issues that arise -It's a conference and event space (weddings, bachelor parties, birthdays) The event areas are surrounded by the guest rooms. The music was extremely loud in the common areas and the guests of the event were disruptive when leaving late at night. -The hosting of events there leaves little to no parking close to the hotel for any individual guests. Had to park a quarter of a mile away and walk in the dark. There's no available parking near the doors closet to your room because there's no key card access at any door. You can only use the front entrance. -Limited food options as the cafe, dining room and bar on site are only open on certain days for a few hours. -Employees, specifically reception, don't know a lot of information or chose to share it.

Stay at a holiday inn express - or a motel - basically the same or better than what you get here. Room has no refrigerator, Microwave, or coffee. Needs more outlets / usb ports. TV is tiny and bed is super hard. Very noisy with slamming doors. Expect the restaurant, fire pits etc you are there for to be closed for private events. Front desk Staff was not helpful or informative.

No amenities in room such as coffee or water - no parking one night due to a wedding - hotel guests should have priority or hotel should provide shuttle service if parking not available near property. Bathroom door wouldn’t close because it was broken - tv was dated. Staff were annoyed when I complained.
