I got stuck because of a road closure, and this darling little spot was an absolute answer to prayer! The surroundings were stunning, the location so quiet and peaceful, and there were lots of little touches that made it feel so homey. I will definitely be coming back to stay again!

This was a great little place to stay for a few nights while working our way towards Auckland at the end of our holiday! Beautiful view, nice and casual breakfast, and our host was available and helpful. The venue was away from the highway, but close enough to get traffic noise, but that was not a big deal. Reviewing for a group of 3. We stayed in the family room for 1 night while visiting the nearby glow worm caves. We had a great stay. Only about 10 minutes from the caves. The property is situated on a hill, and the patio right outside our room had spectacular views of the surrounding region/mountains. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet at night. Bathroom was spacious as well. Small kitchenette had a few items as well including electric kettle, tea, coffee. Complementary breakfast was continental and definitely a plus; had everything we needed for a long day. Was nice to meet the owner Trevor as well as his dogs who can be seen around the property. Would stay here again.

The unit we were in was immaculate and the views were spectacular, would recommend it to anyone. The breakfast was very good also, with plenty of choice. Trevor is an amiable and welcoming host, Jack and Harley are equally welcoming ( the dogs).
