I’m not sure whether it was because I booked through the Hotels. com website, but my room was arranged on the second floor facing the street. The air conditioning in the room worked intermittently and often made loud noises. The front-desk staff at check-in did not seem very welcoming, though the service at check-out was good.

All was great in the hotel. But located across the street from a shelter with multiple drug users out at night so walking back to hotel from byward market area is very sketchy.
