A very neat and beautiful property. Our place had everything we needed. From the day we arrived they took great care of us. Easy to check in and out. Pool, jacuzzi and sauna were an added bonus. Can’t wait to stay again in the future.

Cozy room with a gorgeous view. A short walk to beach access. The only access that we are aware of to enter Devil’s punchbowl at low tide. Upstairs was extremely rowdy at 3am in the morning. The ceiling was very thin. We were unable to reach the operator during that time and had to go outside to knock on their doors ourselves.

Driving up, this property feels like a dream. The windy, moss covered drive with towering pines and ferns is simply magical. The property itself is like a lush rainforest, the footpaths creeping through the silence. The beach and tide pools were absolutely wonderful and we had so much fun finding all sorts of marine life. However, most of my positive experiences are focused on the scenery and the natural beauty of the Oregon Coast. We stayed in a two queen bed room with a forest view. The view was spectacular, part forest and part beach with a lovely nightly soundtrack of waves. The room itself was fine, a cute, if slightly dated room. The water pressure was great and the hot water did not get cold. The beds however… truly the worst bed and pillows I have ever slept on in my life. I felt as though I was sleeping on a box spring and not a mattress at all. The pillows were so flat, and there were no extra blankets in the room. Throughout our six night stay, there was no housekeeping provided at all. By the end of the week, our room smelled like dirty socks. The restaurant is only open Thursday- Sunday and only in the afternoon. There is no breakfast available at the hotel, and only one place in town to grab something quickly. Otherwise, Newport and Depoe Bay are the only options. This was misrepresented upon booking. I honestly wouldn’t have stayed here if I had known. A lot of the property is timeshare property so it is a gamble what the room will look like.

Great views… ok rooms

I will preface this by saying… you can’t beat the setting, the view, and the service here. All of that is top notch. The rooms, however, are where it falls apart a little. There were a number of items that were in need of some serious attention. We had a hole in the laminate flooring and the floor was spongy surrounding it - one electrical outlet was just dead and another didn’t even have a cover plate. Exposed wiring and wall socket were very evident - the shower rod was riddled with rust - towel rods in the bathroom were loose and floppy on the wall - the bed was at the end of its life. It was very squeaky, sloped, and had a hump in the middle - the bathroom door was missing laminate and chunks of wood along the bottom. Now, with an establishment of this age you expect wear and tear. This, however, was off putting. When you’re charging +$200/night… I expect better care to be shown.

Beautiful setting! Well kept. Unique vaulted ceiling rooms that you can’t find at a chain hotel. It’s both in the forest and on the beach. What a treat!

Beautiful property

We love this place, but this was our first time getting a "loft" room. Pros and cons, just like anywhere but I would definitely stay here again. This is my 4th time here in the last year or so. Renter warning...this property is on a cliff side and there are A LOT of stairs to go up and down to move about the grounds. Pro's: The heated pool is absolutely wonderful. It's so nice to swim in, and the views are stunning. Property grounds are equally beautiful, you should see the place when all the flowers are in bloom, it's incredible. Front desk staff is always pleasant and easy to work with and happy to see customers. Shuttle drivers are all great and accommodating. Cons: The unit we rented (private owned) was a little rough. Shower floor is soft and cracked and it's on the upper floor. The windows are thin and outdated. The heat/fireplace/tv system was VERY difficult to operate; there was a bag of remotes and some were labeled but didn't work. Super frustrating. The water faucet in the kitchen was broken, so it only had 1 spray setting. There was no soap to wash a dish. The walls and windows are very thin, so we heard everything in the unit next to us, conversations, kids bouncing around (totally okay, mine were too) and even the movie they were watching. I think the owners could take a little time to do a few upgrades and it would really make a huge difference. But, for the money I paid it was worth it and I will go back to Inn at Otter Crest again and again!

NEVER STAYING ANYWHERE ELSE

When we come to the beach we ONLY come to Inn at Otter Crest. This is the most beautiful and peaceful property we've ever stayed at. I love that there are a variety of room types from just a single occupancy to the entire family or friend gathering. We have stayed in almost every type of room here the offer. My favorite is still the loft with an ocean view. You gotta give this place a try
