Extremely run down - mold in shower, pealing ceiling, old, worn furniture, about 15-20 years past an update. Front desk is frequently unattended. And they charge $200 a night due to proximity to college.
I was very disappointed with this hotel for a $500 two night stay. The only thing it has going for it is proximity to Miami. Very old and in need of updating. No coffee at breakfast first morning - send someone to walmart to buy a temporary replacement next time. Worst hotel breakfast I have ever seen - inedible. Even the clementine was dry and inedible. Pool out of service. Pitiful fitness room. Bathroom door squeaked loudly which is unacceptable. Lightbulb out in bathroom. Fridge noisy. Need quarters to get bottled water - none in vending machine. Would not choose to stay there again if something else available. Do better for your customers.

Nice beds but pool was closed for repair, coffee machine was broken and place was generally run down
Our room didn’t have running water in sink. Had to wash hands in tub. Addressed issue with manager and was told it was because too many people staying at hotel. No one was there in the middle of the day. Left hotel. Maintenance said it has been reported previously but they still rent the room at premiere prices
Desk attendant wasn’t friendly. Room was 90 degrees when we entered (heat and fan all the way up). Heat is so loud in the room it’s difficult to sleep.
I travel extensively and typically stay at Marriott hotels due to my long-standing loyalty. During my visit to Miami University in Oxford, OH, I booked a stay at Comfort Inn through Expedia, and it was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve had.
The biggest issue? Very little hot water for showering. In the middle of winter, with temperatures around 20 degrees, this was completely unacceptable. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, I was told they would “turn on” the water heaters—something that should already be functioning properly.
Beyond that, the hotel is old, outdated, and vastly overpriced at $250 per night. It’s clear they are capitalizing on parents visiting their kids at Miami University, but the quality does not justify the cost.
If you’re considering staying here, look elsewhere. This was an extremely disappointing experience, and I would never stay here again.
I read the reviews for this hotel and I thought maybe people were being a bit dramatic but then I stayed a night and they were not being dramatic. The room was exceptionally dirty. There were rips in the sheets, and the faucet was covered in lime scale. The sink didn’t drain. There were dead bugs and flies on the windowsill. The toilet was exceptionally dirty. The towels had not been washed they were just re-folded from whoever stayed blast and every surface was covered in dust dirt and a film. I was very disappointed in the facilities at this place.
