The Curious Sea Cow is a fun, darling, well-stocked townhome in the beachside neighborhood of Shorepine Village. Thoughtfully furnished, and designed as a perfect launchpad for your beach adventures. This home is spacious yet cozy with a nice gas fireplace and sunny back deck. The walking paths to the beach are just outside. The bright main floor has a gas fireplace, well-stocked kitchen, and access to the back deck and garage. Upstairs the bedrooms are comfy and clean and there is even a fun loft space in the kids room to play in.

Main level entry has garage, deck, living room, dining room, kitchen and 1/2 bath. Upstairs has the 3 bedrooms: Primary with king bed and full bath, bedroom with queen bed, and bedroom with queen bed and twin/twin bunks (and fun play loft). There is another full hall bath.

Two miles of paved walking paths that interweave through the Village of small grass covered dunes, pine thickets and seasonal wetlands. Shorepine Village is an award winning area of traditional beach homes built in harmony with the natural environment. Centrally located between Kiwanda Shores and Cape Kiwanda, this new beachfront neighborhood is set among the dunes and snuggled down behind a grass-covered fore dune. Shorepine Village is maintained with pride and governed by strict CCR's for the enjoyment of all who visit or live in the area.

Cancellation Policy:
1/2 the total cost of the booking is subject to forfeiture if reservation is canceled or changed within 30 days of arrival. 100% of rental rate is charged if cancelled (or no-show) within 14 days of arrival. If the house is fully rebooked by another renter, cancellation charges (less $35) will be refunded. Reservation cancellation fee is $35. (If you book with a 3rd party, different charges may apply).

Occupancy Note:
Occupancy rules are strictly enforced and apply to the entire property during the stay. Additional day-use guests may be allowed with management pre-approval. After your booking is confirmed, you will be sent the full rental contract and terms.

Perfect amount of space for our family of five. Gorgeous sights of beach. We traveled up and down the coast, checking out other coastal towns, so Pacific City was a central location. Well-appointed kitchen and plenty of linens.

Great little town and plenty of amenities

We stayed here for a wedding with some friends. The garage was stocked with bikes and other toys for enjoying the area. Kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of towels. The bedroom with the bunks and loft was really cute. Loved that we were able to bring our little dog so we didn’t need to find someone to stay with her at home. My only warning is the parking. Only one car can fit in the driveway so if you have a second car, you’ll need to park in the very small garage. Luckily we had two small to mid size SUVs so we made it work but if you have two larger vehicles that won’t work out.

Wonderful Beach Getaway

This was our second stay in this neighborhood and first time at this property. The property is well maintained and cared for and is very cozy for a family of four. The 3 bedrooms are beautifully furnished and the loft was surprisingly entertaining for my 12 year old. The kitchen has everything you need to prep and cook a meal, and with a large dining room table and living room, entertaining family/friends is easy. We stayed at an identical floor plan property last year and the kids loved it, so that is why we chose this location. This property backs up to a green space between neighborhoods, has a wonderful trail system throughout, and is only a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. In the garage are bikes, beach chairs and other items for a fun day out. If your vehicle is small enough, you can park it inside. Within walking distance (quarter/half mile) you have a market, coffee shop, brewpub, pizza place, and more. Be sure to hike to the top of the Cape Kiwanda sand dune for some spectacular views. It’s a real climb, so be ready. The beach allows bonfires which I highly recommend for family/friend gatherings. It rained on us for a few days, so we didn’t get that opportunity. This property has great entertainment options, i.e. Internet, board games, a deck with seating and a barbecue. This property is highly recommended and we’ll be back soon. Enjoy!
