Castaway Cottage is situated near the sea in Trevone with a parking space and only 100 metres from the sandy beach.

Downstairs there is an open plan kitchen/dining room incorporating a range of modern fitted units as well as an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer. There is also a large glass dining table which seats 6. In addition, the twin bedroom is also located on the same floor - which has been charmingly furnished as well as the main bathroom which has a modern range of sanitary ware with a shower over the bath.

Upstairs there is a light and airy lounge with sofas (one of which is a double sofa bed), TV, DVD, music system and books. The double bedroom is also on this level, and features a large window overlooking the courtyard garden, and has been decorated to a very high standard. The en-suite is located off this bedroom and has a toilet, basin and shower.

To the outside is a well enclosed courtyard garden as well as a parking space.

Whilst we accept well behaved dogs for an additional cost of £50 per pet, per week or per short break stay, please contact us to check if you wish to take more than one dog.

PLEASE NOTE:
Short breaks of 2, 3 or 4 nights are available for most weeks and we accept a 4 night short break or longer during the Christmas week and a 3 or 4 night short break or longer over the New Year.

TREVONE AND THE LOCAL AREA.

Trevone is a small village which is famous for its two beaches (sandy beach & rocky beach), a general store, beach car parks, a pub and a surf store.
The main sandy beach is a beautiful cove with the famous ‘Round Hole’ on the cliff top, which is life guarded (dog prohibited) during the summer months. Just around the bay is Rocky Beach, perfect for rock pooling, shell collecting and also featuring a natural swimming pool. Surfing and body boarding are very popular in Trevone and nearby Harlyn Bay with many local surf schools that teach all age groups.

Trevone is ideally situated as a base for North Cornwall and beyond. Padstow is just a few minutes’ drive away, the resort of Newquay some 20 minutes’ drive and some of Cornwall's most popular attractions such as The Eden Project, Lanhydrock House, Truro, St Ives and Boscastle all less than 45 minutes away.

There are many activities for all ages - golf at Trevose Head, surfing, body boarding, fishing, coastal walks (adjacent to the national coastal path), golfing, horse riding, or just relaxing on the sandy beach.

Castaway Cottage

This property was a lovely cottage tucked away down a lane very clos eto teh neach. It provided ideal access to all of the activities Trevone has to offer. It was clean and comfortable.

On arrival we were very disappointed, the house was well below our expectations for the monies paid

Trevone is an amazing location we have stayed in other holiday let’s at similar pricing. We thought The house was not to a good standard cheap internal furnishings and is in need of maintenance windows not opening and double glazed units faulty. Cheap and uncomfortable beds. Chairs etc. We certainly won’t be returning to this let. Regards Derek Shaughnessy

Excellent stay. Always room for improvement

Really nice place, convenient parking, well insulated so warm in winter, clean and well equipped. It doesn't have any view but is very close to Sunny Corner access to the sandy and rocky beaches We had a little trouble sleeping, which was down to two things that might be tricky to fix: 1. The upstairs (esp bedroom) has tremendously creaky floorboards which are amplified below so disrupt sleep in the ground floor bedroom; 2. The neighbouring carpark security light is so bright at night you definitely need the benefit of the blackout blind and curtains in the upstairs bedroom. Hope this helps!
