Immediately behind Boana is the Dubrava - Hanzine Special Forest Vegetation Reserve. This protected corner of nature is the only one in the area of the town of Pag where the remains of the original holm oak forest have been preserved. The vegetation here has created an unrelenting immunity to the island's climate due to the strong bora and salt. At first glance, the island of Pag is rocky and rugged and is often referred to as the "island of stone" or the "island of the moon". On the other hand, it is one of the sunniest islands in the Croatian Adriatic. Near the town of Novalja in the north of the island is Zrce, a long pebble beach that was given the name Croatian Ibiza after the construction of four discos. It is the main tourist attraction of the town and its surroundings. Visit the nearby town of Pag. Here you can visit sights such as the Rector's Palace, the Skrivanat Tower and the Benedictine monastery. The island's local products are cheese, lace, salt and lamb.
