Just returned from a lovely 6 Night Stay with my wife and almost 80 year old father and we had an amazing visit. Viewing and listening to the waves crashing against the rocks day and night was just spectacular.Everything was clean, worked and exceeded our expectations. We went grocery shopping and prepared most of our meals at the house. Every utensil we needed was there including plenty of condiments, knives, cutting boards, pots, pans, plates, bowls, silverware, rice cooker, coffee maker (worked for grounds and KCups), plus a Weber BBQ that we used for grilling up some burgers! Refrigerator and freezer were solid (thanks for the ice cubes as well as blue ice packs!) We've never stayed at a rental that had such a prepared kitchen. Thank you!We packed light so that we could return with gifts for family and friends and utilized the full size laundry and dryer in the garage.We didn't need to pack any beach towels as there were plenty of those for us to utilize when we visited the Kohala Coast.Plenty of fans and windows to open to move the air around and we all slept great on the comfortable beds.Only complaint was from Pops that the TV wasn't big enough, but to the Mrs. and me, it fit in fine with the decor. The WiFi was great and powered up multiple computers and tablets for us to watch our sports. Roku TV worked great and included DirecTV for some of the standard cable station and local channels!A great secluded house with all the amenities! Thank you.

This is an amazing gem on VRBO, we stayed here for several night as we toured the Hilo side of the island, and this house was great. The views, especially sunrise, were spectaular, honestly the pictures do not do this house justice. Liv did a great job communicating with us, would definitely stay here again.

Nice place with an amazing view. The house was clean and everything functioned properly. We had a number of things booked before we arrived and wished we had either booked less or added a day just so we could sit and enjoy the ocean. We saw sea turtles and a whale! The water is closer than it appears in the pictures. There is no AC but for the most part open windows and fans kept the place comfortable (February visit).

Great place and space for our first visit to Hawaii. We really enjoyed the view of the ocean which could be seen from almost every room in the house. The upper bedroom balcony was great for spotting the whales off in the distance. Also enjoyed sipping my coffee out on the patio in the mornings as the sun came up. The little trail out to the rocks was a favorite spot for my husband to just take in the ocean views. The host literally thought of everything we would need for our stay. Appreciate having all the comforts of home during our stay. Although it may have been a little longer drive into town to the nearest Walmart, it was worth it to be right on the ocean in a private tropical like setting away from the “city” hustle and bussle. Only thing that might have made our stay even better would have been air conditioning. But then we wouldn’t have the sounds of the ocean to listen to with the windows closed. Thank you for making our 35th Anniversary trip to Hawaii an enjoyable experience. We’d highly recommend staying at Kai Hona Hal!

House upgrades were well done. Obviously, the view is priceless. The neighborhood is easy to walk with friendly people. Felt secure. Everything worked as you'd expect. Even without AC, opening the windows in the late afternoon/ evening was perfect.

Gorgeous view. Very quiet. You won’t be lonely! The cockroaches like it too! We had a great stay until we found the bodies of dead cockroaches.The host knows about the pest infestation. They claim to get the house treated once a month. I guess the poison if the exterminator is why they died at an impressive size - or old age.

This was an amazing space to stay in for our visit to the big island! The home was immaculately clean, had everything we needed to be comfortable (including a washer & dryer), and afforded incredible views of the ocean (just steps away). The location is convenient for those based around Hilo and the neighbohood is quiet & walkable. We appreciated Liz's responsive communication prior to arriving and the ease checking in & out.
