Smokehouse Cottage at Ryan Holmes site in Plant City

This is a large property near Plant City. It would be a very nice place to stay if a family or group had relatives or activities nearby. The cottage had a living room with a large screen TV, a recliner armchair and a large recliner sofa, a kitchen a bedroom and a bathroom. The bed was a queen with a soft but comfortable mattress. It was up a ways from the floor and a bit difficult to get into. I slept well in the bed. The kitchen was small but equipped with the usual kitchen appliances and a coffee maker. The place was clean. It was a bit isolated and difficult to find without electronic help. They reportedly had a lot of animals but I only saw a chicken coop and a stable with a horse in it. They probably have more but I was only there in the evening and didn't wander about. On the negative side there was no office to go to in the evening. I had a bit of a problem checking in. Had to find the owner's home and get help. She (Kelly) was very nice and personable and helpful. I also could not unlock the electronic lock the second night. Kelly once again came to my rescue on a rainy night. The cottage also had a large patio area that was covered by a roof. It had nice furniture and a smoker type grill. It would be a nice., peaceful place for a couple on a small vacation.

Quiet & Cozy

We stayed for two weeks while closing on a house and it was very peaceful! We had a great time feeding the highland cows, donkeys and horse. The house we stayed in was perfect for two people and we loved hanging out on the porch and listening to the wildlife every day.

Great getaway

We absolutely loved the property, had a little bit of a hard time finding the cottage but once we figured it out it was awesome! Kelly has really put together an amazing little space for anyone looking to get away from the fast city life. The animals and pond were amazing!
