This place looks like where the Griswolds would end up. It is incredibly old and falling apart. Every single thing was outdated. The carpet was dingy, the second floor walkway looked like it was about to tilt over and fall. There was a def old funk smell in the hotel, i found a live roach in my room, the karaoke place smelled of dirty carpet and old a$$ ketchup. Staff was friendly, food was good. Would never stay here again.

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, hadn’t stayed overnight since before Covid. A lot of former perks, like “ the world’s best water” and the instructions on how to soak for maximum health are no longer available. And I appreciate the ability to use the hot tubs 24 hours when you’re a guest, there were people yelling at the top of their lungs all night until 5:00 am . In the pool area. The staff were accommodating and friendly.

Staff was great, hot springs mineral water in the pools was great. Eight different pools of varying temperatures, all from the springs, including a jacuzzi, an olympic size pool, cold (fountain) pool and warm pools, and a dry sauna, all provide excellent rejuvenating relaxation. It is a chill place, laid back, not "luxury" per se, and that is the way we like it. I had a late job in DSH, I live in L.A., and my girlfriend and I decided to make an overnight trip out of it, I dug around a little bit and booked the night at Desert Hot Springs Spa Hotel and I am so glad I did. I was in the hot springs pools and sauna that late night, and twice the next day before checkout. It was great beyond our initial expectations. Love the staff. We plan on going back regularly.

My room was really old and the bed was worn out but I only paid $60 per night so cant really complain. You get what you pay for but the owner really does need to put more resources into this place.
