They didnt have any rooms clean, they didnt even know about my reservation. Upon finally getting into a room after an hour after check-in the room was still filthy. We found used needles in the bathroom. We didnt have any other option but to stay since they wouldnt refund our money

Arrived at this disaster at 11pm. Not a real hotel, a flophouse low end apartment complex with no lobby front desk, or real employees. Disgusting and unsafe I reported this fraud to Expedia, who ignored my warning. SCAM FRAUD!

The property is in the midst of a revival. By no means is it perfect. However, the staff we met were wonderful and helpful. We got an unplanned tour of the property looking for a complete room (beds made, curtains, towels, etc. The place is clean, pool and hot tubs were clean, linens clean, everything else needs to be updated and they are working on it! A diamond in the rough!

This place does not look open or functional. And if it is open and functional, it's the most terrifying and disgusting hotel I've ever seen. There was no one there, but the gate was open. They were piles of dirty laundry doors to rooms were open, windows were broken. Literally, it looked like a horror movie. I turned around and left, and it was very difficult to find a room in Desert Hot Springs on a Saturday night at the last minute less than zero stars this is disgusting and unacceptable.

I would have slept in my truck instead of here.

Arrived at Sandpiper to find urine on toilet seat and blood splatters on sheets. Management was kind and helpful and moved us to new room. New room had dog poop (a lot of dog poop) on the enclosed patio dirt area. The room smelled of feces. Management was contacted again and we were promised a full refund. Spoke with owner and he was very apologetic. I was not going to post this review because I know it will hurt the owner;s business; however, promises were not kept and after waiting 9 days I have not received the promised credit to my credit card.
Urine on toilet seat. Bathroom was not cleaned prior to check in.
Dog poop in room's private courtyard, outside glass patio sliding door.
Tub in first room we were checked into.
