A 50,000 m² property with a 500 m² house in the Arrábida National Park, nestled in the mountains, offers magnificent views of the sea, the mountains, and Lisbon.
From the house, you can admire the sea, the beaches, and even Lisbon, which is just 30 minutes away.

This is the ideal place for a peaceful holiday close to the beaches and the city of Lisbon, in a tranquil location with many attractions and places of interest to discover and explore.
Strolling through the park, watching birds fly over the mountains, and admiring the sunset over the sea from one of the house's many terraces are unforgettable experiences!

Although the property is located in the heart of the Arrábida Natural Park, you will find several supermarkets, restaurants, and traditional cafes in the neighboring villages (Azeitao and Cabana), less than 8 minutes away by car.

The region's various beaches (Arrábida, Meco, Bicas, Sesimbra) are located between 15 and 25 minutes from the property.
Lisbon is 30 minutes away, Sesimbra 25 minutes, and the city of Setúbal 15 minutes.

The region is also known for its fine wine, Azeitão cheese, and cakes!
Tours of the region's various wineries, as well as wine tastings, can be arranged.

Great for a week with large family

Well furnished. Property managers very helpfull. Property would benefit from a more uniform heating sysytem..our visit was the end of December. Detailed maos of ingress and exgress would be helpfull..not for the faint of heart. That all being said we had a wonderful visit to Lisbon, Setubal and the surrouns.

Stunning views, beautiful house, let down by cleanliness

If you are looking for somewhere peaceful and with stunning views then this property would be hard to beat. Fantastic views from beaches of Costa de Gale to the hills of Sintra on a clear day. Our host Ana Maria was very friendly, accommodating and responsive, letting us check in early when we arrived because she was able to accommodate. Can only give 3 stars however because as beautiful as the property is, while its generally clean on the surface, it hasn't gotten the level of care or maintenance it needs for a better rating considering the cost. The walls inside are all white and some looked grotty like they hadn’t been painted in years. Some of the furniture wasn't much better. Chair pillows and covers had dirt stains, patio furniture was old, dirty and stained from sitting out in the elements and not getting proper cleaning or maintenance in between stays. The water is from a natural well full so calcium build up in all the bathrooms, something avoided with appropriate level of upkeep. Some of the furniture inside was actually broken or damaged and would look better if it was just removed. Be prepared for insects too. Dishwasher wouldn’t drain. 2 hot tub treatments/cleanings included in expensive price for hot tub but never happened. Nothing to do in the local village either if you are looking for proximity to something charming or nice bars/restaurants. Also, traffic through Lisbon to sites north or west can be bad. Overall, place should be 5 star with better care.

Golden wedding family celebration

The property was amazing and suited all our needs. We're a family of 19 with ages ranging from 9 - 76. Everything was perfect: the bedrooms, pool, outdoor and indoor spaces. We had such fun. A great location too.

Beautiful, but not what we thought

There's no doubt that the location is breathtaking, but it was much farther from everything than we thought. Lisbon wasn't 35 minutes, it was 1h15m each time we went (due to traffic), and that included off times of the day. Gilapinhos Beach was incredible, but it also took 35 minutes to get there. The house itself was nice and Ana was very quick and responsive, though sadly, she needed to be because the house is in need of a new dishwasher, oven and stove. Finally, the humidity prevents anything from ever drying, which makes you feel dirty all the time. All of the bed linens and towels were always musty and there was no dryer. We enjoyed the views of the house, wish we would have been closer to Lisbon, and were very excited to go home, take a shower, and sleep in clean sheets.

Résidence de rêve!

Superbe maison. Très spacieuse avec ses 9 chambres. Nous étions 14 adultes et nous avions amplement d’espace pour tous et chacun. Nous avons profité des talents culinaires de Maria Helena et de Ana à 5 reprises pour notre plus grand bonheur. Elles sont super gentilles. Nous les avons adorées. Notre hôtesse Ana est également très gentille et toujours prête à répondre à nos différents besoins ou demandes. Merci de tout coeur pour cette grande disponibilité!

Amazing villa but needs accurate description

The Villa was beautiful and the views are absolutely 💯 amazing. It is also very spacious and plenty of space for our family a total of 18 of us. Important Missed points the Villa needs to add on description for large groups You need a car or van to transport you on & off the Villa. *Spent FORTUNE on taxis ( we didn’t budget for) * Nothing in walking distance, beach, shops etc.. ( main road to little town is 45/50 mins one way). * The road to Villa is way too rough for ordinary car. * Uber drivers would not come up the road is not paved. *Taxi to Lisbon one way €55 * rubbish from the house and recycle on had to be taken to main road. 45 min walk. * Camera inside Villa( not informed) * maintenance man did not announce when he would attended (uncomfortable and disruptive). * Lost WiFi to the Villa and water for an entire evening fixed next day at 12pm. *Louis taxi service was great. *One of our taxi driver Paula was amazing.

The villa has magnificent views including sunrise , sunset and the villages below, the ocean and mountain ranges. Clean and plenty of space for my family and friends total of 19. Most of all Ana was very accommodating and flexible that had made our vacation a memorable one and every one had a great time. She made it possible and a very good choice to celebrate my birthday at the castelo de Palmela, The location is close to amenities and the beaches. Thank you very much Ana. Beautiful for large group

We had 5 families stay in this home - it was great accommodations and space! Ana and her husband took great care of us making wonderful recommedations for dinner and beaches. It is a bit of drive to Lisbon but the scenery is gorgeous, the nearby town very cute and accessible and the beaches in Arribida - wonderful!

Wonderful and relaxing

We were a group of 12 family members ranging in age from 12 to 73. The house was such a lovely space for us all to relax and enjoy each other. The views are even more amazing than the pictures. In early June the weather was just about perfect. The host, Ana, was so kind and helpful. She arranged for cooks to come make traditional food for us and it made for such a wonderful evening for us all. The house is close enough for day trips to Lisbon and the beach. The local wineries were wonderful to visit as well. If you want a vacation where you can simply relax and also take day trips into the city, I highly recommend this house for a large group. You must have a car to get to the property. It is a little tricky to get to the house the first time, it requires driving some steep gravel roads. But, once you know how to get there it is easy. There are also lots of hiking trails directly from the house for exploring the mountain. If you are a mountain biker, this house is perfect for you as mountain bikers were plentiful (but not annoying) on the roads and trails around the house. I hope to come back again one day.

Perfect Location

We stayed here to celebrate some birthdays, and have to say that the location is absolute superb! 40 minutes from Central Location, with stunning views, bordering a national park and a short drive from some gorgeous beaches, it really couldn’t be any better. The apartment itself is spacious and fit 20 of us well for sleeping and eating, and the pool clean with a fabulous view. Thank you Ana and the hosts, we’ll certainly be back!

Best vacation ever

We stayed at the villa to celebrate anniversary, friends came from different parts of the world. The villa is perfect for a large group: max 1 bathrooms per 2 families, a lot of privacy, long table to sit comfortably 18 people, enough chairs at the pool… simply perfect! The view is gorgeous! With Ana’s 24/7 help it made it best vacation ever. She really knows what you need before you even thought about it 😃. Located on a hill and secluded area, consider having a car but if not - Ana can help arranging transportation. We managed with one car to be able to get groceries. We hope to be back!!

Wonderful Amazingly Hosted Villa with Incredible Views

The house , pool, terrace and surroundings are beautiful as is the view which has to be seen to be believed. A memorable Holiday

Our holiday at Villa São Fransisco was memorable. The Villa is wonderfully situated high on a ridge which overlooks the Arrabida National Park to the South, and over the Tagus Estuary to the North; the views are astonishing. We were a family party of twenty but the house accommodated us with ease. The kitchen was fully equipped with all that you could ask for. The reception room was comfortable and large. The dining room table allowed all twenty of us to sit down and happily enjoy each other’s company. The bedrooms were all comfortably furnished with three of the eight bedrooms having ensuite bathrooms. The remaining bedrooms all had easy access to shower/bathrooms. The house was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The clean and well maintained swimming pool was a magnet for all and proved wonderfully refreshing during some very warm September days. It was. There are tables outside which allow parties to eat outside in the cool of the evening watching the setting sun. Road access to the Villa is a little tricky, but that should not deter anyone! We were met by the agent Ana Lopes, who along with her husband Antonio, were very helpful with any requests. We asked for a second cot which was produced very quickly: thank you. Ana was full of good advice as to the local beaches, local shopping facilities and travel to and from Lisbon which is forty minutes away. We enjoyed a memorable stay at São Fransisco. Thanks to Ana and Antonio for adding to our very special family week.

Fantastic holiday in beautiful surroundings

This villa was perfect for my group of 23 including 8 children. Even with so much of us there was so much space. We woke up every morning to the spectacular view of sunrise through the living room windows across the mountain terrains. The host Ana was there to answer our queries promptly. As it was my 50th we spent a lot of time in the villa playing games, BBQ and organised our own pool sports day which was very special. If you have a large group do not hesitate to stay here.

Eleven friends visit Portugal

Eleven adults enjoyed a week at this property in Palmela. We had no surprises! The views, the accommodations, the ability to make enjoyable day trips, and the support and guidance from Ana are memories we will hold forever. A lovely vacation property!

A beautiful villa for the whole family!

This was an amazing place for the get-together I planned for 14 people! It is close to wineries, to lovely beaches and the city. We had to cancel some plans just to enjoy the villa. Loved it!

Too hard to put in words how amazing it was.

What to say? The villa is impressively big. There are space for everyone and you won’t be bumping into people or things even if you have a full house. The views from the property are stunning and the furniture and decor are perfect. It’s easy to acces amazing beaches. We stayed there for 6 nights and we went to a different beach everyday. Ana and her husband Antonio are excellent hosts. They gave great ideas and there is an excellent folder with all information you need. They also replayed promptly to any question I had during my stay. The only downsize is that it’s not a easy drive on the dusty road and you just meet the host on a meeting point otherwise you won’t be able to find it with you google nao ornaments Waze. However, been hard to find has its good side, which we felt super private, quite, safe and secured. We are a family of Australians and Brazilians. A total of 14 adults and 3 kids. We had space enough for everyone in all corners of this mansion. It was hard to leave this place. The area, the house the experience was just unbearable and it will be hard to recreate. We left planing out next visit, which we hope to be back next year. Writing this review brought back so much memory and happy times that I got a bit emotional. Thank you so much for having this incredible beautiful house where we made as home for 6 days. We have great memories.

Experiencia familiar maravillosa

La Villa reúne todas las condiciones para que un grupo disfrute de ella. Está situada en un entorno natural maravilloso. Está próxima a espacios naturales espectaculares. Se puede hacer deporte, pasear, ....Internamente la Villa está muy bien diseñada para disfrutar de ella, y tiene todas las comodidades que se necesitan. Por poner dos peros; el primero es que al comenzar la estancia y si hace frío, cuesta un poco en convertir el ambiente en confortable. Con el tiempo se consigue. El segundo es que el camino de entrada, de unos 2,2 Kms, es de tierra y hay que circular con precaución.

Holiday for my whole family

We had a really good stay. We enjoyed the pool, enough room for all of us, being in a quit place and the posibility for a cooker. Being in such secluded place required driving a gravel road and it all ways to a while to get anywhere. It didn't bother us that much.
