Disappointing Stay, Multiple Issues Not ResolvedWe recently stayed at Pelican Paradise with a large group (24 adults and 13 kids), and unfortunately, the experience did not match the listing or the price we paid (8,500 for 3 nights). The property is advertised to accommodate up to 37 guests with 10 bedrooms, but in reality, the layout is cottage-style rooms that are not suitable for families. It was difficult to comfortably accommodate our group, and the listing felt misleading. We also encountered several operational and maintenance issues:Towels provided were far fewer than needed for a group our sizeMost bathrooms did not have working locks, which was a major privacy concernSeveral showers did not have hot waterUnit A kitchen had a ceiling leak (we had to place buckets and covers to prevent slipping)The leak worsens when the upstairs shower is usedVent hood in Unit A was unusable due to a missing knobOne oven in Unit A did not work (made noise but did not heat, wasting our time)Both grills in Unit A and Unit B were unusable due to empty propane tanksDuring our stay, we reported these issues to customer service. While they acknowledged them, there was no resolution provided, and even a small request for a checkout extension was denied.Overall, this stay was disappointing given the price and expectations. The property has potential, but significant improvements in maintenance, accuracy of listing, and guest support are needed.
