What's that smell?

When we first entered the unit we found it had an unusual smell that did not go away over our entire stay. We had room spray and even bought plug-ins, but nothing helped. The smell followed us home after a week in the room. The unit could definitely use a larger fridge. The mini one desperately needed to be defrosted. We had to buy an extra cooler for our cold items that couldn't fit in the fridge. We did not use the stove. Overall, the room was very simple and clean.
