Disappointing Hotel

I booked online & emailed the Roma Plaza Hotel for confirmation of airport pickup. They had forgotten to write commitment. I was traveling with the family and I had to call the Hotel for their transportation upon arrival at night. They couldnt so we had to catch a cab costing $30. Hotel ended paying one way only. Gave us the worst room. Ac was rattling like crazy disturbing rest, no hot water, dirty towels, half of a sm soap. No wifi and was incommunicado. Had to go to d lobby to get little reception. Very disappointing poor service and will not recommend it to anyone. After much complaints I was changed to another room the last 2 days of my stay. The personnel were not cooperative or helpful after that. Ugly experience. No more Hotel Roma Plaza for me and I won't recommend to anyone either. All sorts of excuses that they don't do pickups from the airport and what their page advertises was not consistent. Never again!!!

I stayed there with friend only one night. Opposite of the hotel is one local restaurant and small mini market. Is near with walking distance at promenade. Nice staff and enough clean hotel.

Bit of a dump and would definitely not recommend to others! Our room didn't have any windows so was like a boxed prison cell...the walls were like cardboard and we could hear people in the halls as if they were in our room. At 6am someone was chipping ice on the level above our room...it was like they were using a sledgehammer to constantly smash through the ceiling. We were a bit jet lagged as had travelled from overseas so when we slept in til half 10, the cleaners were opening our door shouting at us that we were late to check out...very rude to customers. Also there was no towels in the room the first night and the shower is like a power hose. Reception didn't have good English either so that was a struggle for us (maybe own fault for not learning more Spanish) and no information such as a map of the area, metro station, etc was given to us.

A regular hotel in a good location

The bad: Overall appearance is not as imagined, it is an old fashion place, the rooms are too small and not well distributed, the elevators very slow and small, the A/C is noisy, and hallways too dark. The good: Buffet breakfast was good, variable options. Hotel location is good if your trip purpose is to visit several places like Malls, the Canal, and other touristic places. Good budget hotel for a capital city

Although the area didn't seem to have much to offer, the hotel is only 200m from the metro. For the price and comfort ratio, plus the rooftop pool and buffet breakfast ($10 extra), I'd stay again. Note economy rooms don't have windows but with the traffic outside, you wouldn't want one.

Great value for the money

Good quality for the money, clean and convenient. We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel for one night before leaving Panama and found the Roma which impressed us. Definitely recommend it. Close to McDonald's and variety store.

Neighborhood is not the best, avoid at night. Staff is not so friendly, building is older. Rooms not do clean, found roaches in restroom. Restaurant food is poor, was not impressed with the food not worth the money.

The hotel was what would be expected for the price. Front staff were nice. The restaurant staff was surly. their were 2 double beds in the room where there should have been one double bed and perhaps a small desk or table and chair.

Camera non pulita, e odore sgradevole per non dire peggio. Pazzesco rumore dal corridoio e da altre stanze dove suonano musica latino-americana ad alto volume, anche molto tardi di notte. Colazione deludente.
