We stayed here from January 18-22, 2025, and it was a beautiful resort! Our room, #902 on the 9th floor, had a spectacular ocean view with a balcony. The room was spacious, clean, and our king-size bed was incredibly comfortable. The resort offers several restaurants, though not all were open during our stay. We ordered food from Starfish and was quite good. The pool area was beautifully designed, with multiple pools to choose from, making for a relaxing experience. The only downside was the cleanliness of the hallways—they were in serious need of vacuuming and mopping. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay!

The staff is amazing, especially Jorge, Rennie, and Maria. It’s a lovely hotel, linens, bed, bathroom, balcony, all wonderful. AC works well. Oregano and Starfish grill were great, coffee was excellent.

We enjoyed watching the tides rise and fall, maybe 20' in 12 hours, and at night the lighted necklace of ships awaiting canal passage was an awesome sight. The resort gets a 10 in my book.

Overall the property is nice and the food was excellent. It is a bit outdated but still nice. Our main issues were with the customer service from the moment we arrived the bartenders or waiters by the pool area were not friendly nor were they looking to go above and beyond like you except at resorts for the amount you are paying and being on vacation and a relaxing trip. There was lack of customer service and that ownership feel from certain employees.p There were a hand full of other employees in the restaurant dept that were just not there to work you could see it their face and the way they did things. Very off putting. The individuals at the tour desk were all super great! They were over the top with details and customer service. The beach is very dark sand and most days were cloudy for us there.

Beach is rocky and murky, not swimmable for anyone The bedrooms needed a few repairs, the latch to lock the main bedroom was broken, thankfully we walked with travel locks to secure the bedrooms. I would suggest better rates for the excursions, over $150 per person to visit a nicer beach is outrageous

Overrated and Overpriced.

If I could do over, I would have skipped this stop. The hotel itself is situated nicely and the staff was generally helpful. We had an all-inclusive pass and the meals were, for the most part, very poor quality. The steak place, for example, seems to only serve food raw or well done. Medium rare does not exist (and two steaks of the exact same type were delivered as well done and inedible raw). In our room, there is a big window outside the bathroom with a privacy screen, this was installed incorrectly so everyone could see directly into the restroom (but no one could see out). Over 3 days, it was never repaired, the service tech did not show up at the time agreed. If you stay here, I definitely do not recommend getting the all-inclusive. Take Ubers to Old Town for restaurants. Better yet, try Dreams next door. We spent a bit of time there and has a much more vacation vibe.
