It was missing a few basics no dish soap very little body wash, no hand towels or floor mats. There should be some kind of book explaining how to operate the stove and instructions for checking out.

Week away in Central Paris

Great location with access to several metro lines and easily walkable to Sacré-Cœur and Gare du Nord. Appartment was exactly as advertised and suitable for two adults and two children. Overall marking dropped to 4 stars only due to how quickly the appartment became a sauna during the heat wave Paris was experiencing during our visit. With the doors open and the fan on the apartment cooled down well but due to ground floor location windows and doors had to be closed over night. Lovely cafes and bakeries a few minutes away.

In the Opera District

Erik's Apartment is in the Opera district midway between the Opera Hall and the base of Montmartre. It is a 5 minute walk from the Cadet metro stop. It is clean, safe and in a great location.

Paris apartment

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay - but arriving late at night and I found once the taxi dropped me off the apartment was a little hard to find - no light lit up the key pad to enter and then once inside there was no number on the apartment to know which was number 5. Also getting the key to work in the door (I found) difficult and on leaving the next morning I did not know you had to lift the handle to lock the door. All that said I found the apartment very cute, clean, quiet and very centrally located. Kaye.

Excellent spot to explore Paris from

This apartment is even better than it appears in the pictures. Stylishly refurbished and with a lovely outdoors area, it is a peaceful bolthole in a lovely area of Paris. It is close to the major attraction and the neighbour feels friendly, safe and fun.

Good location, but…

We had 6 nights here and found the bed comfortable. The bedroom doesn’t have a window, the toilet opens directly from the bedroom and shower has a glass door directly off the bedroom. Extra towels and somewhere to hand them would be good. The apartment is in a good position for exploring Paris and there are a couple of Metro stations nearby. It would be helpful if there were maps and Metro maps and some basic information. We will not stay here next time we visit Paris.

Really enjoyed the neighborhood. 10 minute walk to several Metro stations. Very quiet area. The best bread/pastrie shop 2 blocks away. Laundry place 3 doors away from outside door. Many dining options close by. If you like walking, we walked to Notre Dame, the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge. About 5 blocks away is a really nice street market with lots of fresh veggies, fruit, meats. Nice

Quiet courtyard in the middle of the city

Property had everything we needed minus air conditioning and we were staying there during the severe heat warning in September. Had to do with fans but the apartment was so hot. Host was not communicative over VRBO for the entire period leading up to our stay, even when we wanted to adjust our dates, but communicated with us via WhatsApp on the day we were arriving.

Good value; good location; some comfort issues

We enjoyed being able to walk comfortably to Montmartre. There were a lot of dining and bakery options within walking distance The street was quiet, with a very nice shower and a kitchen that was well-stocked with dishes and utensils. (No oven, for anyone who might want to heat something up. That was not an issue for us.) The little cafe table outside of the unit was a nice touch, with lots of treats and plants in the (somewhat busy) courtyard, just as the photos show. Comfort could have been better. The photo on the listing shows a sofa, but that is not accurate. There was no sofa. There was a bed with pillows, set up as a would-be couch, but not great for sitting and reading guide books or having coffee. And the dining table had two chairs that were quite uncomfortable (though stylish). So there just wasn't a comfortable place to sit. If the weather had been bad, it would not have been a comfortable place to hang out. The bedroom has no windows. So while there was a standing fan that came in very handy on warm evenings, a ceiling fan would be a great addition to this room. The flat did not have an iron for touching up clothing. Overall, we recommend this flat. With some upgrades to make the living space more comfortable, it could be quite terrific.

We absolutely loved the location of the apartment. Having a shared courtyard made it easy to chat to the neighbours and there was always someone sitting in the central tables enjoying the sunshine. Although the apartment was petit it was well thought out and everything had its place. It was well equipped and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the location is perfect for exploring Paris. It’s quiet within the apartment complex but once you step outside onto the street the atmosphere is busy and full of character. We didn’t want to leave.

Great apartment, great location.

The place is perfect and located in a nice area (rue des Martyrs is very lively with lots of food stores and restaurants). The courtyard with the table and chairs is lovely and great for a coffee or a drink. The beds are comfortable and the place was clean. The only problem we had was with the check-in as the code we were given was wrong and it took a long time to get a hold of the manager (a one time problem most likely). Apart from that it was exactly what we needed and I would stay there again.

Great location, very safe!

We loved (most of) our stay! Checkin was stressful - I was a little worried before I left because I had reached out over a week before and didnt have any response... It was difficult to use the VRBO app in Europe, as I didn't have data at first and I got locked out of my account, then couldn't authenticate it because my phone number was off while in Europe so I didnt have extra charges. I was able to get my husband to help from Canada to get the information for check-in, which was only shared the day we got there. In future, communication ahead of time would be appreciated for international travellers - especially when asked before hand! But, once we got the information, getting there was easy - good location to transit and walking distance to sacré-coeur. It clean and tidy. We felt safe, there is usually someone at the gate into the courtyard, which has a code to get in. Kitchen had an okay amount of things to use. We didn't know where to take the garbage and recycling. (That would be helpful info to share with renters.) It was hot at night, which made it difficult to sleep. There is no air conditioning and the fan didn't help to circulate air in the bedroom. I would suggest a better fan. The hot water tank made the room even hotter when on, and it only lasted for one person to have a short shower at a time. I had to have some cold showers, but that helped to cool me off from the heat. But all in all, we loved the authentic feel of this place. The court yard was lovely.

Perfect Location in Paris 9eme.

This small studio was very well located in Paris. Walking distance to everything needed. From restaurants to grocery shops or beauty salons or beauty shops and even a short distance to Moulin Rouge to see a show. We loved the location. You will enjoy this studio if you are a couple. For a family of four more privacy is needed, and in this studio, there is no privacy when taking a shower or using the bathroom. Okay my wife and I did not have a big problem but my daughter and son needed more privacy specially when taking a shower. At night, it was hard to sleep because of the heat. It was good having a fan but that fan made so much noise that it was better to turn it off than using it. Opening the windows and leaving them open during the night also was a problem because of people sitting, talking, and smoking just in front of the studio in the courtyard. Honestly, I did not have a good night sleep for the 4 nights of my stay there. In addition, the thankless water heater is only good for one person for one short shower, and then there is a waiting period of at least 15 minutes or even more until water gets hot again to have decent shower. Every year summer is becoming hotter than usual; it would be good to replace the noisy fan with a little indoor A/C. Just a suggestion.

Excellent property, recently renovated, quite modern, very clean, good wifi, kitchen, fridge, bath & toilet. Best suited to a couple of any age or a family with a couple of children who could sleep on lounge/kitchen sofa. Shower & toilet are at the end of the bed in main bedroom with little privacy but not a problem for a couple. Best feature is location. Surrounded by good shops & restaurants. Broadly the propertyis just 1.5 km from north, east, & Lazare stations, opera house & louvre are an easy walk away. We absolutely loved living like the locals, a true taste of Paris life. Thank you Eric. Great stay.

Wonderful Montmartre neighborhood

Good location-walkable and close to Metro stations, plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, very quiet. Very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. The front room is equipped with a trundle bed-good to serve two more people, but not comfortable to sit on and relax. This apartment is small, but the space is well used. We would stay here again

Quiet and walkable to Montmartre

Nice, efficient, apartment in a quiet courtyard. Walkable to Montmartre, and metro stations. Rue des Martyrs is two streets over and has all the market shops you could want - bakeries, cheese shops, flower shops and cafes. There are some excellent restaurants in the area too. The apartment is small, so you are definitely sharing spaces with everyone. Water is nice and hot - but recommend short showers as it gets used up after about 10-15 mins. We didn't do any cooking here, but the kitchen has the supplies you need. Recommend asking for instructions on how to use cooktop and how to lock the front door - these were not super intuitive for us! Overall happy with our stay and host was very responsive and kind.
