The place was perfect, except…

This small apartment was absolutely perfect except for one detail. The listing says it has air conditioning. The night before I left, when I saw it was going to be in the 100’s in Paris, I emailed the host to confirm it has air conditioning (especially since the unit is on the top floor!). I was told there is a fan. To me, that’s not air conditioning and the posting shouldn’t have said it has it. I sent a link to buy a portable air conditioner. The host found a used one, but they didn’t work. And by the time I found out it didn’t work, the stores were sold out. So besides for this issue, the apartment was perfect for me. Location, cleanliness, kitchen supplies, elevator, great communication, etc.
