Apartment ok; not great.

Apartment was ok. It had everything needed, however there were some problems: - Bathroom had very strong smell of mold, and lots of patches of mold both within the shower (including across the shower curtain) and around the wider bathroom area. Unless bathroom door was kept closed, entire apartment would smell strongly of mold - Many of the light fittings and plug sockets didn't work - The door on the dishwasher didn’t fully close therefore meaning water would leak out and it was very noisy - Some of the furniture was only partially built eg. wardrobe doors were leaning against the wall rather than on the wardrobe Location of apartment was good, very little noise from street etc. Wouldn't stay here again.

I had a very disappointing and unsettling experience staying at Bridge St Saint Germain. The listing photos did not accurately reflect the reality of the property at all. The apartment was run down, with sparse and in some cases broken furniture, making it feel neglected and poorly maintained. Several basic amenities were not functioning—most notably, the bathroom sink was clogged, light fixtures didn’t work, and the internet was completely down. These are essentials, not luxuries, especially at the price point being charged. The building itself raised serious concerns. It is a fourth-floor walk-up with an extremely narrow staircase, which is difficult and potentially unsafe, especially with luggage. Even more concerning, there were no visible smoke or carbon monoxide detectors, which is a major safety issue. The most alarming problem was the front entrance: the foyer was blocked with garbage to the point where the door could barely be opened. This is both a safety hazard and completely unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint. I reached out to the host/management twice—once regarding our arrival time and again about the garbage obstructing the entrance—and received no response either time. The lack of communication only added to the frustration and made the situation feel even less secure. Overall, I did not feel safe staying here. For the price, there are far better, cleaner, and more professionally managed accommodations available in the area.
