Thanks to public transportation, you can quickly reach République, the Marais, or even Buttes-Chaumont Park.

The Bastille district is particularly lively, with numerous shopping districts, offices, colleges, hospitals as well as the Gare de Lyon which drains a continuous stream of travelers to the center.
