Better than the Hotel

city break with friends

The location was very good. Close to Montparnasse station, a short walk to the metro station and about 20 minutes walk from Boulevard St Germain (Café les deux Magots, close to Latin Quarter). Nice bar across the hotel for night caps and a lovely little eaterie round the corner that we used for breakfast or lunch.However we felt that we had been misguided as there are two Hotel Renoir in the same street and we were sent to the less upmarket one. On arrival to the second hotel, the receptionist was having a cigarette outside and told us to wait in the lobby then called us when she was ready. We were then sent to a tiny room that was supposed to cater for three when only two could be barely comfortable. The pictures that were on the website were of the other hotel (terrasse, more spacious rooms) so we were quite disappointed to say the least. The room we got had electric sockets that were broken and the general feel was of poor maintenance. When we complained the next day however we were given a much bigger room in the same hotel and were dealt with, in a much nicer manner than the night before. The new receptionist was extremely helpful then and made the rest of our stay more pleasant. The website should mention that there are two hotels though.

Suitable, accommodating getaway

Enjoyable, welcoming, friendly & generally fantastic. Great location & nice staff. Excellent surroundings, lots of great restaurants & a 30 second walk from the metro. Great all round.

functional,practical and handy

As a near city centre no fuss place to stay this is fine. We didn't need much service - just a key to get in and swift checkout and this is what we got. We had no meals at the hotel.Loads of retaurants/Creperies in the same street.

Siisteydessä parantamisen varaa. Henkilökunta palvelualtista. Näytti olevan perheiden suosiossa oleva hotelli.

une nuit à montparnasse

nous devions passer une nuit sur Montparnasse avant de rejoindre l'aéroport CDGhotel pratique proche de la gare 300m a pied idéal quand vous avez des enfants et les valises.Reception accueillante,bonne surprise notre chambre était dans la cour arrière au calme ,chambre confortable salle de bain correcte,bemol sur le menage qui ne doit pas etre toujours fait a fond car poussieres présentes sur les abats jours ,petit dejeuner correct rien d'exceptionnel meme tarif pour les enfants.je le recommande pour qques nuits.

Onhygiënisch en verwaarloosd

Hotelpersoneel was vriendelijk. De kamer was erg vies, het plafond was kapot, het behang liet los, de badkamer was beschimmeld en had kapotte tegels, de vloer was niet doorgelegd totaan de int dus er waren vieze randen met smeer. Er waren geen dekbedden, louter dekens, de stoelen pikten als je erop ging zitten. Alleen de locatie was perfect. Vlakbij de Tour montparnasse en 50 meter van de metro.

Kiva hotelli, kivalla paikalla.

Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Ensimmäinen huone oli ahdas, mutta vaihto onnistui heti helposti, vaikka hotelli oli täyteen varattu. Toinen huone oli mahtava, tilava, siisti ja tunnelmallinen.
