We were there for two nights and stayed at Discovery room. Which was 5th floor. Technically its 6th since 1st floor starts at 0. So we packed light. We knew what to expect on narrow winding stairs. When we enter the room it smelled like Clorox which I would prefer than murky carpet smell. Floor was tile and wood throughout which I was happy with since some reviewers mentioned bedbugs in this hotel. Check in and check out communication was easy and clear.
There were grocery stores near by and restaurants around were very good. Neighborhood felt safe overall since I was traveling with my kids who were 12 & 9.
They liked the room.
Cons would be:
1. There was water damage right above their loft bed. It was dry and looked like damage from while ago. So I just told them not to touch it. But it had black spots around it- like mold
2. Washing machine didn’t work so we could not do laundry as we planned.
3. This was okay for us but I am 5’4 and shower was sized for my hight. I don’t think anyone taller than me will feel comfortable in there.
Cons
1. It had portable(?) AC in the unit since it will get super hot during summer month. But you have to put pipe(?) between window to use the AC which was bit tricky. It was chilly outside and rained time to time but our room was very very hot at night.
2. Water pressure was good and towel drying/warming reck worked well- where we dried our hand washed laundry.
3. Had plenty of toilet papers and shampoos.
4. Coffee machine worked well
