Smoke & mirrors

Prior to booking, I specifically asked how many toilets since the description was unclear, in an email exchange via the Vrbo app, it was stated that there were 2 showers & 3 toilets….. upon check in, there was only 1 toilet & when I inquired as to this deception, the management team apologized for the miscommunication but did not offer any further assistance. We would not have booked this property had management been honest & described the unit having only 1 toilet. The shower had a horrible stench that permeated throughout the unit. The beds were comfortable & the decor was lovely. The rain shower and makeup mirror were appreciated. The elevator/lift is tiny, room for only 1 person & 1 suitcase a a time. I would not stay here again

Lovely apartment and location! But...

Beautiful and clean apartment. Very wonderful stay in this very old building. It is very quiet inside, but outside is very busy with cafe's and other wonderful shops and restaurants. Notre Dame and the Louvre are very close in addition to Christmas markets and the Seine. This really became part of our memorable Paris experience. The negatives are the frequent property emails and phone calls that sometimes seem threatening with their requests/ultimatums. If you don't do X, Y will happen to you and you will be charged. If you don't take photos of keys, you will be charged. If you don't send us photos of your ID's of everyone staying, you can't come (which felt VERY violating to privacy). If you don't keep your cell phone on and check it constantly while on vacation, you will pay dearly with Merveil. This added to the stress of traveling and managing the whole family in a foreign land. On top of that, I keep getting charges after the fact without emails or explanations and have to pursue credit card investigations just to get a simple answer to what it was. This was a terrific rental, very beautiful, but the communication experience left a bad taste in our mouths and I'm still in fear of hidden charges popping up weeks or months from now.

Chic apartment in a lively neighborhood

This chic apartment is as advertised; well appointed, small yet holds all the amenities one needs for a wonderful stay in Paris. The shower was a welcome refresher after a day of walking the streets (love the rain shower option). Multiple sinks allowed several of us to get ready at the same time. Also included were all the glassware, plates and cutlery needed when you bring home all of the delicacies which you can easily find within a block of this delightful flat. We were pleased to have an elevator to take with luggage - a total plus in our book. Finally, within a few blocks you will find all the cafes, bakeries and restaurants you would want to make this place your home away from home. Note: we had two adults and one teenager. I would not recommend more.
