Casita Rojo - historic duplex in the heart of downtown Paso Robles

This well appointed duplex is ideally located downtown Paso Robles. Situated only 1.5 blocks from the City Park and 5 blocks from Hwy 101, it is a perfect home base for exploring Paso's rich and growing wine, food and boutique culture. The unit has been recently remodeled to keep with its historic hacienda style architecture while offering you an especially comfortable, clean, and enjoyable place to stay. There is 1 queen size bed in the bedroom and 1 pull-out sofa in the living room. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a micro/convection oven. You will also enjoy free hi-speed wi-fi internet access, and a flatscreen TV with blu-ray/dvd player. Both duplex units, Casita Azul and Casita Rojo can be rented together or separate, and have adjoining interior doors. The large backyard has ample seating and multiple coal BBQs. It's shared by the duplex units and our house unit, which is available as well. There's one designated parking spot in the back.

We allow one dog on approval ONLY and with a $30 pet fee. Please let us know ASAP if you plan on traveling with your pet.

Overall, this stay was very enjoyable. The air conditioning kept the house cool. The kitchen was very nice and the outside areas were perfect. My only comment is that the listing says there is a queen bed in the bedroom, however, it is not a queen. Most likely it is a full. This didn't cause a huge issue, but we were two friends staying, not a couple, so I had specifically looked for queen beds that could accommodate two people comfortably and this bed was quite small.

My husband and I stayed at Casita Rojo for five days in June 2025. It was very convenient to downtown Paso Robles and we were able to walk everywhere. The house was clean and had everything needed to make our stay comfortable. We used the Casita as a hub for visiting some of the many wineries in the area (Whalebone and Still Waters were two of our favorites).
