Detached Cottage With Heated Pool

Situated on the edge of the small rural village of Paule, this fully renovated detached cottage in the garden of the owners French holiday home, has been finished to a high standard to provide a comfortable holiday base. Available all year round, the excellent wall radiators and log style fire give a comfortable and peaceful stay.
The owners are not usually resident when visitors are there to give maximum privacy.
TV is available in both English & French, free WIFI is also available.
Nantes Brest canal is nearby where kayaks can be rented. The night sky gives huge opportunity to skywatch. The swimming pool is heated to approx 25c but after rain this will be cooler. Outside garden games are kept in the box on the terrace where 4 bicycles are available to use. In season some fruits and salads can be picked and used by guests.

We already have a static in France, but my husband wanted somewhere with a private pool that was also dog friendly. This fitted the bill completely. It was for my birthday, so it was a lovely treat. We just relaxed, had bbq's, swam in the pool, the weather was gorgeous so the pool was a steady 25most days. Just a shame it wasnt ready when we arrived. Hadnt been cleaned or the heating turned on. Soon sorted once we phoned someone who came out the following day. But all together we had a lovely stay and anything you could possibly need was there, from garden games, bikes, to Books, DVD''s, etc.

Lovely holiday stay

Lovely place. Owners on same site. Well equipped kitchen, heating worked well (late September visit so we didn't use the pool). Good sized bathroom and lots of hot water. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Long Awaited trip

We were due to travel in June for the Tour de France in Brittany stages, but were thwarted by Covid! Jenny was brilliant at re-arranging our stay to September and ensuring everything went smoothly. Although we missed the tour, we managed to cycle the lovely routes around the well located gite and Jenny and Kevin were great hosts. We even managed to get in the pool as the weather was mostly kind to us. We had a great time in the gite and would recommend it to others.

An ideal rural location and the cottage was probably the best appointed that we have stayed in.

We were there during the heatwave and the pool was much in use. Whilst not near to any major attraction all coasts were easily accessible, exactly what we were looking for.The welcome pack was much appreciated as we arrived late on a Saturday (Bastille Day) with limited opportunity to shop. Highly recommended.

Overall we enjoyed our week stay in the property.

If we were to,give feedback it sounds quite minor but we feel relevant. The property states that it is pet friendly. To make a property pet friendly would to,be able to leave the pet unattended in the garden. The property needs more fencing put up around the garden and also under the gates leading to the road. We were inundated with flies during the stay. We since found out that the neighbours dump their rubbish near the property which encourages the flies. The kitchen lights over the sink did not work. The steps up to the pool need to be looked at. Not only overgrown with weeds etc but a bit wobbly. The lock to the entrance door needs to be made more "old person" friendly. Anyone who did not have the necessary strength to push the handle up would have trouble securing the property. As stated earlier, the comments may sound minor but we felt they were worth mentioning to assist you in making the property a five star stay. The welcome pack was appreciated. Mind you it took us 2 days to realise the pungent aroma was the Camembert cheese in the fridge. We would recommend the property to our friends and would definitely book again , thankyou

Peace, beauty and comfort

We spent a wonderful week here with 2 small children. The property and grounds are beautiful. We were made to feel very welcome with essentials already in the fridge and even a bottle of wine! The bed was one of the comfiest I have slept in. The hosts have really thought about all the little details to make a great stay. Stairgates, dishwasher, plenty of garden games, wifi and sky all made our family stay very relaxing. The pool was a wonderful addition and watching the combine harvester work in the field opposite was a treat for the children. We hope to return!

GITE AU CALME

Nous avons apprécié le lave-vaisselle qui nous fait gagner du temps. Les propriétaires sont accueillants. Petits désagréments il n'y a qu'une seule chambre alors que j'avais indiqué 2 chambres sur ma demande. Le site internet n'est pas souple. Problème pour communiquer directement avec les propriétaires quand on a un souci sur le trajet. On n'a pas le temps de se connecter à sa boîte mail puis recevoir le code puis écrire un message.
