Also worth seeing are all the prehistoric sites along the Vézère Valley, from Montignac (International Centre for Cave Art, Lascaux 4) to Les Eyzies-de-Tayac, the capital of prehistory, then the castles (Beynac, Castelnaud, Les Milandes, etc.), villages (La Roque-Gageac, Domme, etc.), and natural sites of the Dordogne Valley, all the way to Sarlat, a medieval city with exceptional heritage.
