The place is amazing given that it is in the middle of a national forest. If you want to have a real snorkeling experience, book a trip to Menjangan island, and not just by the private jetty. While you will see fish off the jetty, the coral are mostly bleached. This is a beautiful place to reconnect with nature and enjoy the generous balinese hospitality.

We stayed in one of the Mangrove Villas, with Privat Beach only Deers and Monkey's shared the beach with us. We had a great time. Food was good, i had best calamare in my life. Super breakfast with fresh juice and fresh fruit. We could take a mountainbike without extra charge and make a tour in the Dschungel, it was a bitty that the Dschungel was so try, the need rain. We are going to do it again.

C’est un endroit incroyable, niché dans le parc national. Tout au bout, dans la mangrove. Il y a des singes et des biches partout. Humains et animaux cohabitent en toute simplicité. On est au bord de la mer, mais la mer sauvage, pas une station balnéaire. Les fonds marins sont merveilleux, avec des quantités de poissons multicolores et de tortues. Les chalets sont très beaux, l’accueil est extraordinaire ! Tandis qu’on nous explique le fonctionnement du resort, une demoiselle aux mains expertes nous masse les épaules. Le restaurant est sur le sable. La piscine est bien chauffée. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux. Le seul petit nuage dans ce ciel bleu: le dîner, qui mériterait plus de qualité.

Stayed 13 days. Park is beautiful but over touristed. The food was terrible and overpriced. The breakfast is average and not half as good as the neighboring resort in the park, which I also had the pleasure of staying at, but they had no more beach villas so I moved to an ocean villa in Plataran. Plataran does not meet the standards of a 4 star resort. The bed was extremely hard, there was no real beach access and everything was really overpriced. The food in their dinner restaurant was salty and about the same as an American chain restaurant. I ate my dinners at the neighboring resort which I recommend. Most people in Plataran were traveling on cheap packages and seemed the type you might find on a cruise, this might be the reason they get such high marks from customers, they were not seasoned travelers. The staff try to be nice but they are poorly trained and doting, they come off as being very disingenuous. The neighboring resort has a very well trained staff that seem have a better feel for western needs. The coral around the resort is dead, the monkeys get very aggressive and I was close to being bitten in my villa. This is not really an eco resort evidenced by the amount of plastic used, chlorine from the pools leaking into the ocean, fishing done all over the “non fishing” areas and people walking though the pool/bar area at low tide to collect clams etc. Overall Plataran and was disappointing.

Paradise on earth. A bit of a distance from the airport but the scenic trip into the resort prepares you for the nature and beauty you are about to experience. The staff treat you like family coming home. The accommodations are outstanding, the facilities impeccable, the spa services so elegant; all built with conservation in mind. Never before have we experienced such a place, so quiet, so embedded in nature, so luxurious. This easily has become our favourite place and we look forward to returning again soon. If you love nature and are looking for a place to rejuvenate outside the normal touristy spot to experience Bali this is the place.

I stayed in a monsoon villa only meters from the water. The deer regularly passing by.. the villa was well lated out with plenty of room.. good shower. Pod coffee. Bose sound .. did a night dive with Komang from blue seasons bali at the jetty seeing many mandarin fish mating was really amazing and would recommended even for in experienced divers.. . The food at the menjangan next door was excellent..

想像した以上にステキな部屋で、自然に囲まれた最高の環境でした。少し高いけど、泊まるならマングローブオーシャンヴィラを絶対にお勧めします。 目の前の海の波の音を聞きながら、ゆったりしたり、お昼寝したり、鹿や猿が歩いているのを眺めながらのんびりできます。国立公園内なので、様々な動物や虫の声が聞こえ、豪華な部屋でキャンプをしているようでした。ムンジャンガン島へのシュノーケリングも最高でした。

Out stay here at Plataran has been an utter delight. The location is heavenly, particularly the view from our villa. The staff here are excellent. Very attentive and professional. Particularly Zul, Darma and Boi who went above and beyond to make our stay here a truly magical experience.
