The location is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet but with easy access to the Lake District, Eden Valley, Carlisle and Scottish Borders. There are several good dog friendly pubs serving bar meals nearby, the nearest of which is the Michelin starred gastro pub in Skelton, one mile away. The owner’s are Blue Badge Guides (Official Cumbrian Tourist Board Guides) who possess a wealth of local information. It may be possible to hire their services by prior arrangement.
