The Sanctuary is a beautifully renovated one-bedroom apartment designed to offer guests an exceptional blend of comfort, design, and peace. Set within the Whitbarrow Holiday Village, this luxury self-catering suite has been thoughtfully curated to provide a truly serene and stylish stay.
The open-plan living space is light-filled and welcoming, with large windows that frame views of the surrounding landscape and open onto a private balcony—perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. Inside, a cosy seating area features a Samsung Smart TV, an Apple HomePod for immersive sound, and a plush sofa ideal for relaxing after a day out exploring.
The sleek, modern kitchen is fully equipped with top-of-the-line Siemens appliances, including a combination microwave and grill, induction hob, warming drawer, slimline dishwasher, and integrated fridge-freezer. A Nespresso Vertuo Pop with Espresso Aeroccino is on hand for your perfect morning coffee, and the kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with everything you need to prepare and enjoy simple meals at home.
The bedroom offers a restful retreat, complete with a sumptuous super king bed, a pocket-sprung mattress, high-quality linens, and a second Samsung Smart TV for added comfort. Shutter blinds let you control the morning light while adding to the calming atmosphere.

A Nespresso Vertuo Coffee Machine is provided for your use, along with 4 complimentary pods to get you started. If you’re a regular coffee drinker, we recommend bringing additional Vertuo pods with you to enjoy throughout your stay.
Guests will find a small selection of essential oils in The Sanctuary Suite for use during your stay. These are not a gift to take home, but are thoughtfully provided for use with the steam room to enhance your relaxation experience. Add a few drops to the steam outlet or a small dish of water placed nearby while using the steam room to diffuse the aroma gently.
Parking is provided at the on-site car park, which is just a short walk away. Electric car charging points and designated spaces are available.

This station is on the West Coast Main Line and is served by Avanti West Coast, TransPennine Express, and Northern services, offering connections to major cities like Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London.
Another nearby station is Oxenholme Lake District Railway Station, about 25 miles to the southeast, also on the West Coast Main Line. This station provides access to Kendal and other parts of the Lake District. For those exploring the central Lake District, Windermere Railway Station is another option. While farther away, it connects to popular destinations such as Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside.
From Penrith North Lakes Railway Station, the 105/D1 bus route offers services to Greystoke Village, passing through scenic rural locations.
