Bathroom: Roll Top Bath, Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Air source underfloor heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Enclosed terraced garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: Couples and family bookings only. No children under 6 years old. There are steps in the enclosed garden, and steep, sloping banks and an unfenced river in the surrounding grounds, 75 yards away.. Waterfall Wood Cottage, as the name suggests, is next to a waterfall, and positioned amongst woodland. Inside is comfy and cosy, location wise it is situated just above the village of Glenridding, on one of the main walking routes to Helvellyn and Sunday Crag, and many many more, straight from your doorstep. This traditional, stone-built cottage has excellent quality furnishings and every appliance to ensure guests’ comfort. A feature of the cottage is the garden, where you can enjoy the fantastic views, and serene sound of the nearby waterfall. The cottage also benefits from underfloor heating. You can walk Helvellyn straight from your door, plus many great walks in this impressive valley. Situated a 10-minute walk away is Ullswater, where there are many lovely walks, including the spectacular Aira Force Waterfall. The less energetic could take a cruise on the Ullswater steamers and fish on the lake. Shop, pub and restaurant nearby in Glenridding and Patterdale within walking distance.

Waterfall Wood Cottage is an excellent experience.

Waterfall Wood Cottage is an excellent experience. The running river below and location (just outside town) is serene and peaceful. There is a huge number of walks available at your doorstep. The cottage is beautifully equipped to a high standard with everyhting you'll need and is very warm in winter. The small shops nearby have everything you might require. The pubs are great too. I highly recommend Waterfall Wood Cottage.

I enjoyed a lovely week at Water Wood Cottage, with lots of walks from the doorstep.

I enjoyed a lovely week at Water Wood Cottage, with lots of walks from the doorstep. Helvellyn, St. Sunday crag, Grisedale Valley, Lantys tarn, Brothers Water and also took the ferry to Howtown then walked back through Martindale and over to Patterdale. I would also recommend the White Lion, Glenridding Hotel and Inn on the Lake for food and Old Water View for morning coffee.The garden steps are very slippery when wet. The parking area and front garden could be developed into a fantastic space.
