Clean, amenities, location and views. Unable to take a "normal" shower: water was either scalding hot or ice cold. My son was able to get semi-appropriate water temp in one shower with much "finaggling" he said.

Cockroaches and mold in Unit 1B

We have been coming to Pensacola Beach 2-3 times a year for the last 14 years. We’ve always had a beautiful stay until our most recent experience at Sabine Yacht & Racquet Club. We extended our stay 2 more days because we weren’t ready to end our vacation and booked a 2 night stay with Southern Vacation Rentals at this location in Pensacola Beach. Upon arrival, the place looked beautiful with an amazing view from the room! We stayed in Unit 1B. We planned on utilizing the kitchen and cooking over the weekend and eating out on the balcony with a view of the bay. Unfortunately, after getting into the room on the 11th, we noticed a dead smashed cockroach on the kitchen floor under the garbage can. We were hoping this would be an isolated instant. The next morning, after having a cup of coffee, my husband noticed 2 cockroaches in the coffee pot. We also noticed them climbing in and out of the garbage bag and going inside the garbage can. I was in the bathroom doing my hair and noticed a live cockroach in the hallway outside the bedroom. There was a pest repellent plugged into the kitchen, so I’m assuming the managers were aware of the bug situation! We were so grossed out we didn’t cook or utilize any of the cooking dishes or utensils! The garbage can was filthy dirty and had old food in the top of the lid! It was hard to sleep because I was scared they were going to be in the bed. There’s also black mold in the bathroom along the ceiling and black mold under the seat.

We liked how close it was to the beach and all the restaurants and shopping, and that we had a more private atmosphere than what a hotel would provide since we were traveling with a baby. Good size, perfect for a week away from home!

The king size bed was extremely comfortable. Kitchen is very well stocked. Super easy and convenient access to condo from front entrance of bldg. Rock floor in shower was a bit painful to stand on due to unevenly cemented stones.
