SOLD my room! Went to check in and the room we walked in was not the handicap accessible room with roll in shower that I booked. I was told the room I PAID FOR in advance days prior was changed by someone at the desk the morning of my arrival. I was never told and upon asking for a different room, I was told there were no other rooms available besides the one he just assigned to me. When we walked in, the shower was nasty in the floor, no toilet paper at all (had to ask for it), and there was hair in and around the base of the toilet. The room was filthy! I have stayed here more than 2 months out of the year for the last few years and WILL NEVER BE BACK! We had to re-book with another hotel and by now it has just made it past midnight! Booking this late was HELL and we booked across the street at a NEW HOTEL which was over $200 more. Super MAD AT AVID in Perry, GA. DO NOT STAY HERE! I was on a business trip as always when staying here and NEVER again! Save the time and frustration and stay somewhere else. Hopefully this will educate others and management at AVID. I would like someone to contact me from the hotel. They did refund me my money as requested and Hotels.com confirmed and sent it back as well. Thank you Hotels.com for your work as always. - RJ

Staff was courteous and friendly. However, the room, although looked great at first had a lot to be desired. The bathroom floor, ceramic tile grout was dirty, bathroom mirror had not been cleaned, sink fixture did not work properly, and stopper in the sink was a mess. The bathroom wall had nails protruding, and screws showing. Whoever put the tissue paper holder up did not do it well. The mattresses / box springs were terrible and made noise whenever you got in or out of the bed and every time you moved a slight bit. Need to change out the entire bed...mattresses and box springs, maybe the frame as well. TV worked good, lights worked good, and the room was well lit. I think they need a new housekeeper or someone who knows how to clean and deep clean. Breakfast was okay. Coffee had much to be desired. Appreciated the demeanor of the young woman who fixed up the breakfast area, she was cheerful and welcoming!

The property and facility was clean a led the staff were nice. The problems were that we booked a “handicapped accessible” room as my wife recently broke her leg. The room and bathroom were spacious to accommodate her knee-scooter. However, there was no seat in the shower and no rails anywhere to be found. We had to go to a local store to buy a shower chair and she had to sit and shower with the shower door open, because she could not hold onto anything to get fully inside the shower. We also only had one towel in the room when we arrived.

I loved all the hooks the room had to hang bookbags, purses, coats to keep them off the floor. Wish they had dirty clothes bags. The breakfast was good. Just wish they had pancakes ir waffles for the younger kids

Our room was very mid. Bathroom wasn’t clean, toilet was loose — rocked and made a loud bang every time we sat on it. Hairs were left behind from previous guests in the shower and on the floor. Breakfast was ok and staff were friendly. It was just obvious we booked through a 3rd party because room quality wasn’t there. We were in town for an event, so weren’t in the room much. Otherwise, we would’ve requested a different room.

The room was okay. Very small. We stayed on the 2nd floor and we heard people above us running around all night. The pillows were not very comfortable. The coffee wasnt very good either. The breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs, bacon bits and potatoes.
