The hotel provided good value for money. I think it was previously a premier inn and before that a holiday inn express as the bathroom was in that style. It could do with some TLC but that is linked with the price. You have to pay around £5 per night for parking

Average hotel that is reflected in the price, stayed several times. Unfortunately they are now charging g parking, really a stealth increase for rooms as the hotel is set well away from any convenience or services.

I have stayed in a lot worse places!

One night stay as I was reviewing a training course locally. Weird building and had no remote for TV in room but this was sorted. Breakfast was help yourself buffet but the sausages looked to me like they could have been cooked a little more. The orange juice came from a carton stored underneath the unit so could have been a lot colder. All in all not bad but could make small improvements. The main event, the bed, was lovely and very comfortable

Very clean and tidy room. Very nice breakfast area. Lack of clarification regarding the car park payment will make us to receive a fine which a morning receptionist promised to sort it out when we receive the notice. Hope so 🙏

On arrival we were met promptly by the desk staff. He was calm and polite but not particularly friendly. A smile and ‘hello’ would help. I had requested a quiet room away from stairs, bar etc which we did get but it was on the side facing the A1 and with the window only slightly open the traffic noise was quite loud. There are no ceiling lights so with one wall light not working it was a bit dark but more worrying was the fact that it took a lot of jiggling to get the kettle working which seemed to take forever to boil. Additionally the other double socket came out of the wall when my partner tried to use it.

Convenient location for the A1, but very little around the hotel. It's an ex Premier Inn judging by the carpets and signage, perfectly serviceable for a couple of night. Charging for parking was unwelcome, the site is only really accessible by car. The charge is not clear when you book, it says 'parking available', and only mentions the cost when you drill down.

Parking Farce

Parking at the hotel was a farce you are made to download an app when reception can actually do it for you. I mean really just charge clients £2 to park or double it and make a profit but why make them download an app
